Hi, I was denied wegovy by my insurance. Could you tell me another route I can take to getting approved for zepbound? Thank you!

@@BellaDay-fz2ci Hi! You may want to start with calling your insurance company and asking if they cover Zepbound. They will let you know if they do and if they require a prior authorization. Or you can also just have your provider just prescribe it for you and see what happens then. If a prior authorization is required, your Dr can handle it and you’ll be good to go. I hope that helps.

I have the option to appeal the decision but I really don’t want to deal with all that! I’m going to talk with my Dr again to see about a different medication. My insurance company also told me they don’t cover any weight loss drug but I don’t take no for an answer lol thank you!

I believe your provider can appeal for you. You may not have to do much on your end.
