So true. We cannot understand the true character and will of our loving Father making these mistakes people make. This is why people are powerless, broken, sick, and deceived. As you said, it takes dropping your pride to read the life-giving scriptures.
The original 88 books that were in the 1500’s Geneva Bible are the true jewels we need to navigate the rest of our days.

My preferred method of bible study is to wrestle with difficult to understand verses and seemingly contradicting verses to reconcile and harmonies scripture with scripture. This is often challenging but always rewarding. A tip for all who would do this is to ask GOD'S Holy Spirit to grant you understanding. I have found this to be a great time saver. For he who inspired scripture can and will reveal scripture to thought who diligently seeks the truth 🙏

Gospel - Jesus Christ the Only Son of God, who is equal to God came to our world in the form of a man (so He could die), He lived an obedient Life, He kept the Law, therefore Holy, had offered Himself as the Sacrifice and died on the cross for our sins by shedding His Blood. He was then buried but rose again 3 days later according to the scriptures. While the wages of sin is death; death has no power over a Holy being, therefore the Holy Spirit raised Him from the dead.
Because He is the Only Son and the Only One Who Lived among us that’s Holy, the Holy Blood Sacrifice became the Only thing God would accept; God is Holy therefore His standard is perfection. John 14:6-7 - Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.”.
John 3:16 - ”For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.“

Not just the verses around the specific verse, but also connecting verses whether they're in the old testament or the new. Thank you! It reallly annoys me that so many women read extra "biblical" books instead of going to the Bible. Case in point: a woman is trying to figure out "what kind of Christian she is." Go to the Bible right? Nooooo, she's reading a book written by a man with a denominational bias. it's going to be easy for people who don't understand the Bible, to be deceived.
The Bible is the meat and devotionals, etc are usually cotton candy, especially the books geared towards women. It also annoys me when an author uses multiple versions to fit his/her narrative. There are a lot of women authors I refuse to read because of their inaccuracies. But they also focus too much on self instead of God.
    OT, do you surf?

re: context, where is the line?
the context of a word .. is within its sentence , in its paragraph, in its chapter, in its book, in its cultural context, the historic context, the mythological context, the linguistic context for the period it was written vs todays linguistic context, translation context, political context, ...
...and with this book specifically the context that the book was written by The Omnipotence, Omniscience, and Omnipresence of God.

"you go to the bookstore and you want to study biblical femininity what it looks like to be a Biblical women woman this is not a topic I've studied recently for self- application but ..."
i know what you meant... but.... it instead sounds like you do not have any women in your life.
but yes.. cherry picking how good it is to be a biblical women, but leaving out the {paraphrasing} 'they cant teach', 'they can't vote', 'they are essentially baby making property'

Great idea to always look at the context. I realize that some pastors preach based on context others preach topics, but overall it is a great idea to read the bible for yourself and learn what it says. Thanks for making this video available.

i appreciated the cut of your jib.. until you said this "everything is on the table for discussion and if the Bible disagrees with what I believe I'm open to throwing out my belief and being a Biblical person rather than a biased person "
i am not sure why i would throw out MY beliefs when i read something that opposes them....
i am fine with joisting the two beliefs and settling on the more ethical one, the more logical one.
i am not for surrendering to the verses in an ancient translation of a translation of a book that was an held in an oral tradition of telephone for know knows how long.
