If it were a private conversation I would 100% agree with you, however the education coming from the hosts will be beneficial for audience members that share Patrick's beliefs but are more receptive to the arguments. What's compelling evidence for someone locked into the religion commonly falls on deaf ears for those outside it. Would the writings of the koran be convincing evidence for allah for someone devoutly christian? I highly doubt the christian would take the koran seriously. Why should anyone take the bible seriously if they're unconvinced by the poor evidence for an omni or maximal god that can't seem to even meet the most basic level of evidence for existence? The fundamental difference between atheists and theists is that the latter starts their understanding of the world with one more assumption than atheists. I haven't watched the video yet... but I can answer the question. As an atheist I have no need whatsoever to see any evidence for the existence of God. I am quite content to go on living my life assuming that God doesn't exist. That's what I always assume about fantastical claims that aren't supported by any evidence. If some theist is determined to convince me that their God actually exists... Then it is THEY who will need evidence in order to do so.
Religious believers do not think it is their duty to provide evidence for their beliefs. They think it is somehow YOUR duty to embrace their beliefs, without evidence, or even CONTRARY to the evidence.
If I'm going to sell a product to consumers, consumers have every right to demand evidence that the product does exactly what I say it will do. Religions 'sell' salvation, hope, or something else intangible - I think it's pretty reasonable to ask for evidence of this 'salvation' beyond “Trust me, bro.”

If it were a private conversation I would 100% agree with you, however the education coming from the hosts will be beneficial for audience members that share Patrick's beliefs but are more receptive to the arguments. I except that if God exists his ant/ human analogy might be true, but :
1. The holy book that says we are made in His image would be wrong.
2. All attempts at deciphering what He wants from us and how He wants to behave and what is morally right are pointless.
3. All attempts to understand Him are pointless.
4. God would value our "worshipping" Him as a human would an ant.
So in conclusion if God were to us, what a human is to an ant, we would be NO better off believing in His existence, because items 1 - 4 demonstrate the futility of the relationship. You would still be better off doing something useful and being an atheist.

What's compelling evidence for someone locked into the religion commonly falls on deaf ears for those outside it. Would the writings of the koran be convincing evidence for allah for someone devoutly christian? I highly doubt the christian would take the koran seriously. Why should anyone take the bible seriously if they're unconvinced by the poor evidence for an omni or maximal god that can't seem to even meet the most basic level of evidence for existence? A god should have no trouble at all convincing anyone. Bear in mind that just giving evidence doesn't mean much when it's all poor. Excessive amounts of poor evidence is still just poor evidence. If undeniable evidence for god existed apologists wouldn't be struggling to supply even moderately convincing evidence. A real god wouldn't need apologists at all.

If I'm going to sell a product to consumers, consumers have every right to demand evidence that the product does exactly what I say it will do. God is what I have been raised to believe, my current peer group agrees, and believing in it makes me "feel good". When I have doubts - which occurs quite simply and often - I run to the nearest, convenient apologists (people like me create the demand for apologists) who bolster my beliefs with flimsy & fallacious arguments - which is fine, because my sole goal is to "feel good" - rather than ever considering any intellectual honesty.
