I TRIED FIXING the FURNACE | Did I put my FAMILY at RISK?!

  • I wanted to save money so I tried fixing the furnace myself. I had no furnace experience and the job was risky, but I was all in. The Carrier furnace would turn on, then turn off. If I am successful, I will not have to call an HVAC professional and save at least $500.00!

You could’ve mismatched every single wire, there’s no way to burn down your house with the repair you were undergoing. Been doing hvac-r for 25 years. I love your diy attitude tho. I’ve charged hundred of dollars for board swaps

Also just a lil tip. As soon as I take the old board of the mounting tabs or screw. I put the brand new replacement and mount it in. You were scaring my just holding that board and placing it on a tool box. Any of of those resistors or the silicon chip surface gets scratched and you’ve just wasted some money.

That’s great to know because I was not sure what a mistake could cost me! I appreciate feedback from an experienced professional.
