Loved your video. I love ThriveThemes but I researched some new themes to use and your video made me get really excited for Kadence. So I'm doing some new websites with Kadence thanks to you! I've been using Thrive Themes for many years as well and I'm excited to see how my new sites will have better performance but still maintain the high level of creativity that I like to provide for my clients. I look forward to your other insights as you publish. Thanks again.

Wow! It's so crazy that I came upon your video today because my renewal for Thrive Suite is coming up shortly, and I've been researching the Kadence theme because of some issues I've been having with Thrive. I recently started a new site, using Thrive as I have for years, and there were so many issues this time that it has been nothing but frustrating. And the GT Metrix scores I'm getting are awful. I have been using Thrive for years, as I already mentioned, but the price just doesn't seem to be worth it any longer. So glad I found this video - now to go watch the others you mentioned in the description!

Helpful video, thank you. Do you have a hosting provider that you personally use/recommend for good website performance?

Do you still feel Kadence is better than Thrive Themes? I'm coming up on my annual renewal and am considering switching to Kadence. My only concern is I like and use Thrive Quiz Builder and Thrive Leads.

By quite a bit, yes. I very much prefer Kadence now. But, if you're deep into the Thrive ecosystem, then may be more convenient to just stick with them. Thrive tools work well with other Thrive tools. Once you start to peel the bandaid, it usually means going all in on removing Thrive stuff.

I created a site with Thrive, ready to launch then had issues where licence kept disconnecting meaning I could not edit the site. Major turn off. Support said it was a site issue, I cancelled auto renewal. I have kadence and Astra which I will now use. Thrive was easy to create with though by I found it slow

Yeah, it is sluggish sometimes. And that's one of the big issues with the fact that it shuts down the editor now if the license isn't active. If anything gets in the way of verifying the license in real-time, it locks things down. Freakin' stupid.

David, have you checked with Kadence to see what happens should a subscriber unsubscribe?

It is a GPL licensed theme that is also built to use native Gutenberg. I'm much less concerned about Kadence. Even if you didn't renew the license, it would still function fine.
