  • This is my 2nd Hare Scramble race. I do stop and let riders around me on this race but it was definitely great practice. Hopefully I do better on the next race.

Thanks for the comment. That was my first time in really tight stuff. You guys make it look so effortless. I look forward to you passing me again at brushy mountain. Great job man.

Nice ride bro! Glad you made it. That looks like it had multiple tight spots. Love the 250f. It's a little tractor!

I have the same bike. I grew up riding power lines and woods trails. Took a break for a while and recently got back into it. I have a family now and I'm trying to get my daughter into riding. I so badly want to get into woods racing but I'm holding back on getting a bike more suitable for it, while she learns, so that I can putt around with her. Keep it up buddy! I'll certainly be subscribing, to watch your progress!

I was in the same boat. I haven't been on a dirt bike since I was a teen-ager. I am 41 now and got back into it. I knew I wasn't doing the big jumps and like to putt around in the woods. I seen lots of reviews about how the bike was for beginners but none of it actually racing. That's why I decided to start making these videos, to show that it is capable to those that want to go racing but don't think it can. Lets be honest, it doesn't even come close to the power of the 2 strokes, but for what is designed for it is great.

@@jeremylanders9425 I just got the 22'. Im 43 and NEVER rode a dirtbike ever lol. While I'm still riding in circles and flat figure 8s here I am on UA-cam obsessing over Hare Scrambles lol....nice work man, given the fact I'm wore out after 10 minutes watching you do over an hour is impressive and worthy of respect!

Nice job, man! I have a 250F that I bought from my nephew, who thought it was going to be a wheelie machine instead of a trail bike. I really like the bike. It’s just what I need for now. I rode dirt bikes from age 8 to about 18, then took 30 years or so off 🤨. The 250F has been a good bike for getting back on the dirt. Have you done any mods to yours?

I was in the same boat. I also had taken 20+ years from riding and decided to get back into it when my 13 year old wanted to learn to ride. I grew up on air cooled 4 strokes so that's what I decided to get. I don't regret it for 1 second. For the riding that I enjoying doing, leisurely trail riding with my son, it is an amazing machine. The 250F fits my skill level perfectly. it always puts a smile on my face when I pass the 2 stroke guys in the woods. I often wonder whats goes through their head when they get passed by a 42 year old on a "beginner bike". Usually on the starting line I look around and feel like a minnow in a sea of sharks then pass them on the trail. thank you sir, I belive I just named my bike the "baby shark". The bike is completely stock straight out of the dealer, minus pillow top grips and Amazon handguards.

@@jeremylanders9425 Thanks for the reply. I had to replace the clutch lever from where my nephew laid the bike down, and I added some handguards, but other than that, mine is stock, too. Baby Shark! I like it!

I don’t see this bike being competitive in this type of riding. However for these trails I think it would be excellent choice especially the very low maintenance vs. the 2 strokes. Now if Honda would put a 2.5 gallon gas on it, a head lite, Rear brake lite and a kick starter perfect

If your 160 why didn’t you get the crf250rx ? Maybe going one step lighter on springs would help you some. I’m 180 and I’m thinking the RX would be a better option.

At the time it wasn't in the budget. But now my oldest son is ready to move up from his little TTR125. Dad may need a new ride.
