I love watching Defalco hit. I’m newer to volleyball and one thing I just don’t get is how he can swing with the high elbow and have so much power while not having shoulder pain.

I used to have shoulder pain as well. You just have to find your form! Maybe you’re not opening your body enough so that you’re using your body to generate power instead of just your shoulder?
