The previous owner kept it in prestine condition and practically brand new, literally showroom condition.

The Outer Banks is the 3rd most active spot in the U.S. for Hurricanes and Tropical Storms. They're just a little weaker because hurricanes almost always lose some of their strength by the time they get to North Carolina, Almost all the CAT5s (and even CAT4s usually hit S. Florida or the Middle Gulf Coast. North Carolina sees a lot of CAT1 - CAT3. But all it takes is a strong Tropical Storm a few hundred miles off shore to flood the Outer Banks. It constantly floods there. And it floods in the Winter from Strong Nor Easters that move up the coast. So smart move to move your car back up north. Also, the air at night is a salty mist that rusts everything metal. You don't have to drive on the beach to have a rusty vehicle within a year or two. I've spent about 40 years of my life living near the beach in several locations (now Florida). Just driving around throws salty sand under the car. And like I said, the air is very salty at night near the beach.
I'll be there in a couple weeks, hope I catch a glimpse of ya before you jet out. I also hope that mess is gone by the time I get there and no other storms are planning a landfall.
If you plan on trying to use a trailer to keep cars safe from flooding, you might get a 3 car wedge trailer because they are a lot taller and get way taller as you go to the front. Plus you could take 3 cars at a time and not just one.
Yo when we go jeeping on the beach, get it home and set a lawn sprinkler under it on the driveway and let it spray... move it around under there a few times and the under carriage is clean 👌
I know the feeling. I live in Midland/Sanford Michigan, about 5 months ago we made national news when the damns at both of the lakes i grew up on failed completely draining them sending 2 big lakes worth of water washing through our town and completely devastated our down town stores and neighborhood under 10 feet of water and 15-5 feet of sand and mud. Estimates are a best case scenario of a minimum 8 years before things will be back to normal with a very high possibility of the lake our entire town revolves around never coming back again.
You should buy some land with a pole building further inland. That way you can leave stuff down there, and also you wouldnt have to worry about moving a bunch of cars in a hurry, and you could even have some emergency living quarters there.
Same thing just happened in November 2019. North Carolina coast gets beat up a lot I wouldn’t want to have a bunch of expensive cars in the Carolina coast. We’ve gotten at least 4 hurricanes hit the coast in the last couple years causing a bunch of damage. Too much potential for flooding for me to live down there. It’s fun to visit and wouldn’t be bad for rental property but get all the insurance that you can.
as a person that grew up on the OBX the reality is that from organ inlet down to the Ocracoke it floods almost every year. I grew up in KDH on the west side of the island and in the past 10 years the water only made it to the end of our road. Don't be scared to take cars there but I would probably consider a different location of the OBX if you are worried about the flooding.
I was in Avon this past week. It was insane. Rt 12 was closed north and south of us until midway Thursday. We stayed high and dry but a mile south of us, not so much. They had mini excavators digging the sand out of the car ports.
Don't move around water this time of the year right now the weather is going crazy due to the tragic events taking place . Expecting the winter to be something we've never seen ❤ stay safe people ❤
Houses built on pillars are a pretty good give away that there's storm surge and flooding. I've worked all up and down the NC. And SC. Coast and have seen it over night flood 300 yards inland.
So funny when watching someone learn something on video. The outer banks is no joke to weather. The beach moves. Mike go to the museum down there and learn about the area. There’s a reason you don’t see sports cars there. 😎
Have you thought about the crystal coast of NC? Morehead city all the way down to hampstead has gorgeous views, and is coastal living. Just food for thought brother. Outerbanks is gorgeous as well. But check the entire coast. Not all of it gets the storm surge the outerbanks gets. Or maybe find a place inland some that a few miles from the beach and shit.

From that point on it became a struggle, eventually leading to unloading the property. Great times to be had down there! I just wouldn't do oceanfront again unless I was comfortable enough to be ok losing the house, because often they are considered uninsurable depending on where the high tide mark is compared to the house. I'm sure y'all will find something that is the right fit!
I never thought I'd hear you say "Far Left" so many times. Lol
Heist over here talking about how awesome driving a new truck is awesome and so comfortable, I'm over here saying I miss my straight axles, lockouts, and floor shift 4x4 with 4spd. 😂 want a 77 or 78 power wagon crew cab. Lol
Servpro it’s on it way like it never happen 👍
Mike just received your Save the Stick t shirt and poster of your c7 & c8. Awesome quality and this shirt is sick in the black and yellow. Thanks for a great products. Especially im in for the lambo drawing now. Take care brother.
“In Pennsylvania you won’t have the ocean at your door step” huge feeling that’s going to age so bad
First it’s a 90 k cash offer now it’s 85 k lol, but I think the C8 is off the LMR again for tuning
Rethinking that future Outer Banks house purchase yet? :)
Out of all your cars the c6 zr1 is my favorite cant beat that beauty , especially in silver !
At this point he only buys cars to get you to buy merch so he can make a couple of hundred thousand dollars easy
Man.. He's gonna have to sell a shit load of $25 shirts to make a few hundred thousand profit when giving away a $100k car. I don't think he makes that much on every giveaway, maybe some giveaways he has IDK. That High Country giveaway didn't even go on that long and that truck was not cheap plus all the sweet mods he did on that truck cost big $$$.. just the lift alone was $15k. That truck was lit 🔥🔥✌️
@@mrmuncheez374 a couple of hundred thousand people watching videos and that car was nowhere close to 100,000 dollars and you should learn something about merch that a lot of people talk about average of 10 to 20% of all people watching the video will buy merch so that's tens of thousands of people spending $5 to $50 each
@@dontgetoffended9524 ok, cool. You are right, I don't know much about having a popular you tube channel and selling merch. I'm pretty sure Mike said in a video he got that car for around $100k, even if it was $85 or 90k, that's a pretty good chunk of change to just give away to a random subscriber. I hope he does make a good profit on each giveaway, cause that means that he'll keep giving away awesome cars.
Keep in mind, that Gallardo only had 1200 miles on it. The previous owner kept it in prestine condition and practically brand new, literally showroom condition.
@@mrmuncheez374 I mean I'm okay with him giving away car to buy merch people actually have a chance of getting some amazing
Buy a multi car lift. If you want your fleet out there. But also realize the areas roads that you would have to traverse to get to “nicer” roads.
Imagine if the zr1 was down there
I would’ve been so hurt although it’s not my car but damn
Think the temperature reading is for your Transmission, not ambient temp. No reason for a ambient thermometer to read 300* and a regular transmission temp while towing is 180*+ for one of my trucks.
Shit man if y’all think this flood was bad. Y’all should of seen Houston after Hurricane Harvey lol
Big faxs my g, we get that much water after 3-4 hours after hard rain😂
Jesse Garcia well we got that much water after 0 rain....? so😂
That c6 is my favorite car you have ever had can't wait for the next video
Thinking about all that salt you’re driving through makes me cringe.
It’s a foolish man who builds he’s house upon the sand or something like that
I'll be there in a couple weeks, hope I catch a glimpse of ya before you jet out. I also hope that mess is gone by the time I get there and no other storms are planning a landfall.
This is exactly why I wouldn't live on a beach property!
If you plan on trying to use a trailer to keep cars safe from flooding, you might get a 3 car wedge trailer because they are a lot taller and get way taller as you go to the front. Plus you could take 3 cars at a time and not just one.
get a house in FL I can tell you that there are a million places that look like the outer banks but 10x better
Mike is the 2020 Silverado the one that makes the trailer invisible on the back up cam so you can park better?!?
Excited to see more with the C6 ZR1!
as a person that grew up on the OBX the reality is that from organ inlet down to the Ocracoke it floods almost every year.
You should do a vlog on Dauphin Island, Alabama... Also you should do one on the Blue Ridge Parkway!
Glad nothing major happened to you all or your rides.....can't wait until you do the c6 zr1 giveaway ;)
mike when are u putting a lift kit on the 2020 silverado and did u guys get the tahoe
So funny when watching someone learn something on video. The outer banks is no joke to weather. The beach moves. Mike go to the museum down there and learn about the area. There’s a reason you don’t see sports cars there. 😎
Lived in Raleigh NC for 36 years now...don't buy there as we hear this ALL THE TIME! Buy inland OR just visit..., LOVE your channel!! God Bless!
I love the pause to make the engine noise as that blue car went by (12:36) 😂
Blue ?
Mike: Using the car wash talking into the camera casually....
Me: Using the car wash frantically so I don't have to add any more coins....
Street speed on vacation...ocean said hold my beer 🍻
