This is one of those songs that has me completely captivated. It makes me feel a way I can’t really describe. So many soundgarden songs have this eerie feeling that has only been amplified with the passing of chris. The fact that this is just Chris and a guitar, combined with the ambience of the room and what I said above just elevates this performance to a point where we will probably never see something like this again
I learned to play this song back when I was a teenager. If I had been famous upon his passing, I would have played this as tribute. He's playing it too fast here, but it's still great. "Black Hole Sun" tributes were so obvious. I can appreciate the gesture, but not the understanding of the man's musical genius. I miss you, Chris. Always will.
@@billyaubin5360 I found the Chris Cornell Disciples on Facebook and everything they said seemed to be true but then I decided if it were true, it would have been investigated more. So I unfollowed them because it was so sad and depressing and I don’t want to read that stuff.
It's because all the guitars are tuned to the same note (E, D in this version) to everything goes out of tune really quick because of string tension and stuff like that. They played it on the Motorvision DVD which is on UA-cam as a full band, after that when they did it (1994 tour) it was always Chris giving a solo performance : ua-cam.com/video/j5uFS6RNeeM/v-deo.html
Always one of my favorites, but I just discovered this version... blown away. He was having a good night, hit those notes perfectly. Apparently he used an unusual tuning on his guitar for it, and it really works well.
It’s not just an unusual tuning but it is an unheard of tuning. Every string is tuned to various octaves of E. That’s what gives it that droning effect. What an innovator. He is greatly missed 😢
Amazing vocalist we know, but his struming hand was robotic. Besides one of the vocalist to ever sing rock n roll he was absolutely a top notch rhythm guitar player. So glad there is all of this footage available. I know his family is crushed. RIP Chris Cornell.
So here i am, watching a dead man singing something that hits me like if was made Yesterday, it is beautifull yet ironic, isnt it? I wish Soundgarden and Chris were still making art, so i dont be listening to a past that never been in, so forever hello and goodbye
Este tipo era demasiado extraño para este mundo ... que raro sos hermano!!!!!❤❤
This song instantly relieves my own mind riots whenever I’m in need.

RIP Mr. Cornell. I think about you always.
Me too. Everyday. I try to only read positive things and stay away from the conspiracy theories because it was making me way beyond sad.
@@kimerleviccaro1957 don’t believe the conspiracy theories. It’s junk.
