I don't disagree with anything that was said here. However, another aspect that wasn't touched upon is the life of the trans pump. Trans brake kits generally substantially increase line pressure, in many cases maxing out the output based on RPM. While this reduces the likelihood of a clutch pack slipping, it's very stressful to the pump. I'm not sure whether the best durability lies with using a trans brake or launching with a foot brake. It probably depends on how much track time your project will see versus typical driving. If it's a daily driver, your pump and pump housing may see a dramatic increase in wear, requiring a repair much sooner than would otherwise be the case. As with most things in life, there is no free lunch (or launch). Pretty much every modification involves a tradeoff.
Never had anyone break the stock 13v rotor in any of my builds so im going to have to disagree on this one. Been putting brakes in a very long time and never any pump damage.

No such thing. 700r4s are not meant to be raced. Governor and tv cable will never be able to handle higher horsepower exactness. To have a brake and proper performance for that application you must step up to electronics and a 60E
