Whoever hasn't seen Jesse Cook live is missing one of the greatest guitarists alive. His live performances enchant the air with magical music. A must see!
One of the bands I want to see so bad!!!!!!!!!!!! One of my all time favorites... spent many hours driving and listening and being lost into the land of rhythm with this man.
Love love love Jesse Cook's music! We've seen him in concert here in Canada three times and each time has been fantastic! The audience can not sit...everybody up dancing, great atmosphere. His guitar playing is incredible.
I saw Jesse Cook in Mississauga (Toronto) in 2004 I believe it was. AMAZING show. It was really, really great and Jesse took the time to talk to the audience and answer some questions. He seems like a nice guy.
Just today, thanks to a friend and 'youtube' -- for showing me around with links, I'm discovering that Canada has some great and brilliant musicians!!! And absolutely I'm becoming a fan of quite a bunch of the very best!!
the beat and the timbales are beautiful and the sound s fantastic especially the guitar marvelous, i well be in hes show here in chicago in april weather permitting ❤️❤️❤️🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
i still remember when you guys played this song live at the virgin music store just when it had opened in robson st. vancouver, met you guys, thanks for signing the cd...i never get bored of this song...mi favorito!
Beautiful music! Who cares if he plays with his fingers or uses a pick? Music is from the heart and it belongs to all of us. A human being who is Canadian can be influenced by Flamenco. That is like saying that Carlos Santana shouldn't rock, or Eric Clapton shouldn't play the blues. btw, Flamenco is actually Spanish GYPSY music. We live in a world now where we all learn from and influence one another. Peace, luv.
the first time I heard this person was in May 2001 in Kosovo (Camp Bondsteel). The people in the Cappusino Bar play it constanly that I start to like it so much and already have some of his CD.
I've kept practicing the clapping and it IS possible to get it. With lots of practice mind you:) Though i cant do it for as long as these girls do in this song! Great stuff!!!
remedyfarm Helps when you have a "Partner" it's a 2 person effect - awesome. Just mark your time - say it out loud - close your eyes - and clap on time - Practice everyday/every other day - and within 3 months- you'll be comfortable with it. The you must learn to play the spoons. (Look it up on UA-cam) ☄
I watched the whole DVD and it was really nice! The only thing I have to say is that you're really good and creative, never stop making CDs! I just love them so much :)
Bom-bom.... bomdabom. Love that Gypsy Kings style finish and those fabulous high-speed tinny runs. Fantastic***** and if you think you could do the counter-clapping, find a partner and try it!
he's not pure flamenco guitarist, he never claimed he was. its just ppl wanted to lable him as flamenco guitarist. flamenco effected him alot when he was young but now he travels around world and adobt their music as his. Ive seen some middle east music in his albums.
I agree... Jesse Cook. Govi, Armi, Oscar Lopez and more are " Nuevo Flamenco", in which I see flamenco and world beat. BTW.. like acoustic guitar? check out Tommy Emmanuel on here.
Do lots of research first. I just bought a new guitar, with metal strings because the type of songs i like sound better with those (ex. classic rock and pop songs). If u like Jesse Cook, most Beatles songs I'd say, other folk music, then go for nylon. Ask some friends, look it up online and go to a store and try several guitars to see which one fits the best. The most important part of this is the fit. Good luck!
Haha, when I borrowed a double CD from someone where this is found on, I was sure I had inserted the wrong one. "Jesse Cook - Rattle and Burn". Eh? Not "Jose Guitierrez y Bravo - __"? But for heck - that was HIM! So should the Gipsy Kings be in need of a new member, here's a guy who might meet your requirements! :D Just the only thing he lacks is some artsy Spanish name, so you gotta find a a pseudonym for him. :P
Bro, I'm pretty sure Jesse could play almost any style of guitar you put in front of him, his fingers are nimble as fuck and he knows how to pick a song like a mad man
Whoever hasn't seen Jesse Cook live is missing one of the greatest guitarists alive. His live performances enchant the air with magical music. A must see!
