Sassy, we love Nigeria! For me the most essential thing/tip I have for when going to Nigeria is to always take a medicine bag that most especially includes stomach medication, band-aids, and malaria medication. It will be a life saver especially if your stomach is not used to the Water used in Nigeria. I go to Nigeria pretty often (at least once a year) and this is one thing I will never go without.

Always carry your own toilet tissue ( paper) whenever you step out of your house. Even the so call international airport has no tissue in the bathrooms.

Avoid wearing expensive jewelry or flashy items in public and never ever "show off". This along with wearing expensive gear will make you a prime target for thieves or people who are up to no good. Sassy, we love Nigeria o!

Sassy we love Nigeria, I visited Nigeria September 2, 2022 and thanks to your videos and the grace of God, I was able to navigate through the airport with practically no stress. Your tips and practical information was a huge help. My biggest mistake was not having enough small bills for tipping and I only had usd not naira. Other than that I loved the food, markets, climate (it was very mild on my visit) the people, architecture, everything ! I can’t wait to go back to Nigeria.

Hi sassy, I am from the United States have been Lagos twice to visit my fiancé. One of the things you did not mention is the airport can be stressful. Everyone from the military to the police to airport clerks will try to shake you down for some cash. I have learned to answer them by saying I only have credit cards and that usually stops them in their tracks. By the way you are right, the food in Lagos is delicious.

Sassy, we love Nigeria 💚 Would love to see a video on extra precautions and useful tips for foreigners who stand out a lot more than other africans who visit. Eg using the phrase "i no be JJC", navigating the airport etc. I'm a bit scared to come as a solo white female traveller 😅

Sassy we love Nigeria. My big mistake was eating street vendor roasted corn after spending 20 years in the States. Omg 😱. Thank God I packed Imodium and Zofran. It wasn't a pretty experience. So, please if you have been out of Naija for a minute, kindly stay away from those street vendors until your stomach can take it. 😂😂😂

Also never video or take pictures of people you don’t know or don’t have their permission. It’s a big no no!!! The local young man saw me taking pictures of a man selling straw baskets and he respectfully paid the vendor as a way to show respect because I did not know. I was deeply impressed with the young man for doing that without making me feel bad. 💗

Thanks Sassy Funke for this lovely piece of information,
One common mistake among Nigerian been too's, not all of them but few is that they have this arrogant, rude and lousy attitude and most often tell a hell of lies to unsuspecting people.
A lot of them board airplanes creating scenes, making noise, claiming what they are not and making fools of themselves in front of people who are well exposed.❤️ Sassy I love Nigeria 🇳🇬

The people we met in Lagos were awesome, so friendly! went to markets, I just feel like they saw a white person and raised the prices, not realizing I know to haggle or a friend just went back later and bought it!

Where can one go once they get off the plane to exchange their high value USD money to get their best bang for the naira?? I know @SassyFunke you mentioned a place in Eko Hotel in one of your videos, is that option still viable??
