For those that don't remember Charles Oliveira was set to originally face Current Lightweight Islam Makchaev at UFC 294 for second time but unfortunately pull of from the bout after sustaininhg a bad cut above his eye, to make matters worse many had speculated something like this was gonna happen as the Former Champ had complained beforehand about not being a fan of rematching Islam Makhachev in Abu Dhabi again and also stating that he never wanting to face him for the first time their either. Well UFC President Dana White for Fight Inc Inside the UFC would absolutely rage at Charles Oliveira and his team for failing to inform the UFC sooner and not wearing the right gear while training one week before headlining PPV card.

I still think he risked this injury on purpose because he said a week before that happened that its unfair he has to fight again in abu dhabi and he wants to fight in brazil so he risked an injury so that fight could be in brazil but the UFC gave volk the title shot. And now islam is the one who gets blamed for defending his title two times against a featherweight (who looked better than charles btw) and they say that these were not real title defenses against volk. I don’t have a problem with oliveira just with his fanboys. Nobody who wants that fight would do hard sparring one week before

And somehow ufc fans criticize Islam for not fighting a lightweight when he literally was lined up to fight Oliveira, who sparred without head gear a week before the fight and risked getting injured, and actually did end up getting badly injured 🤦🏻
