have you tried the bumco bum brush for applying rash and excema cream and sunscreen it's silicone and is great for keeping it off your fingers and under nails. it's a lifesaver
When I had my last baby I used a mesh shoe organizer on the side of my nightstand. I used command hooks to hold it in place and it held everything from diapers wipes change of clothes etc. it just made those late nights easier and it freed up a lot of space on top of the night stand as well
I think Madeline is a very blessed baby to have you for a mom and I'm sure Christian for a dad too. Don't worry about the things you did prior than baby girl. You are doing beyond what new mom's do. Enjoy her while she's so small, it goes faster than you realize. My sweet babies are 36, 33, and 24. I don't know where it went. You are doing so great. You are not missing a thing Allison as long as you have the necessary thing she needs and you do!! You take care of you too. I'm your biggest fan and pray God continues to bless you all. ✨Debra
I always did love the name Madeline and that book, too!! A lot has changed in 21 years since our baby girl was born. We didn't have swaddlers, a baby monitor, a sound machine, diaper caddies, Etc Baby's outfits included nightgowns and a few receiving blankets. We did have the bassinet but it was the same height as our bed at the time so I could literally just rest my arm over-the-top during the night to make sure she was fine. But I must have missed out on a lot because she slept through the night as soon as we brought her home from the hospital. So I would wake up several times a night making sure she was still breathing since she never cried for a feeding until morning. 21 years later, I still can't figure out why she slept through the night right away. Our son woke up for a usual feeding during the night. Some things never get an answer!! I remember analyzing whether I should wake her to feed her or just wait till she was ready. There was no Google back then or earbuds for night time. Maybe that was a good thing or I would have worried even more!
I really appreciate you showing your lived in space. This is the first video I've watched of yours and I'm now subscribed. I'm being induced December 23rd. And I'm binging on these kind of videos to make sure I have everything we'll need.
If you are looking for a bassinet that is directly next to bed check out the arms reach co sleeper. I had one with my first son 10 years ago (csection) and I got another one for this baby due in June (vbac) because I loved it soooo much with my son.
Arms-up swaddles were our first's favourite, too. Waiting to see whether number two also likes them! I loved using compostable doggy poop bags when disposing of diapers so there was less smelliness.
I originally got the 4moms mamaroo bassinet for my son, but quickly realized it wasn’t all it was cut out to be and it was difficult in those first postpartum days to get up and down. I ended up getting a cosleeping pack n play. It looks identical to the bassinet you’re looking at, however it’s bigger so baby can stay in it longer and it also can be used as a regular pack n play so it’s great! We love ours and plan to use it with baby number two.
So happy you and your family are doing well! I keep a small basket next to my bed to throw any soiled clothes or burp cloths. This was a must for me because my baby would spit up a lot and if I had to change him out of his pjs I would just throw the clothes in there so I didn’t have to get out of bed 😂
Is there anything that I’m missing that you’ve found super helpful to keep close by?!

I’m pretty sure it’s from Amazon! I’ve seen ones like that on Amazon while getting an alarm clock.
