They will cuddle you too. I trained my girl two commands...soft and love. They are also very easy to house break. I started a blog from her perspective and and a online store to sell her favorite treats.

I have 3 Chows, 2 males and one female. My first lived to be 151/2 years and I lost my 2nd at 12 years and now my 3rd, the female. She is the hardest one to train. She didn't care to play with any other dogs even as puppy. She is 2 1/2 years and was finally quit puppy bites after a year and 1/2. She is very loving and sweet, and love to cuddle. My 2nd Chow was the easiest to train, gentle, smart and super quiet. My female talks back like Huskies The boys were easy to housebroken but I had a bit of issues with my female since the breeder trained her on pee pads. She would do it on entrance carpet and shredded the pads as well. She is the mini monster..🤣🤣

Yes, their nature is to be quiet and well behaved. And for this, they can be trained so perfectly!

Gently touch them a lot as a puppy and as they grow. All my chows are very motivated by treats. It’s true that they will resist doing things they don’t want to do, but treats do motivate them. Socialize them from an early age but if they are frightened, don’t force them as they are likely to bite. Lastly, I have found that the best way to socialize them with unknown people is to give that person the leash and walk with them. Slowly but surely they’ll learn to trust that person.
