I was born in Connaught Hospital glad the rebel didn’t destroy it. Home is always home but there is so much that could be done with the cleanliness. Much love from 🇺🇸
Thank you so much for this lovely video,I am subscribing to your lovely channel right away, in Nigeria they call me Sierra leonian,I don't know why? But I am very happy to see how lovely Freetown is, I love the names of the streets, everywhere is beautiful despite the renovation, I love Freetown, I live Sierra Leone, maybe my genes are in Freetown
Since yesterday i started watching ur video on UA-cam you make i fill like am home no matter the circumstances no place like home thanks for the good job
Freetown is a nice city. Looks like there are many historical buildings and the people look free like the city's name suggests.. Maybe next video(s) Triple A may need to share a video of the public spaces in Freetown. Great piece.
Mr. Triple A, you are the best and you are doing a very good job. I grew up at Percival street and you brought back my memories when i saw my area that I grew up. You the best 👌 and I followed you all the time on your UA-cam shows. Your show is one of best TV show in freetown and I love every bit of it.Thank you for job well done sir. Percival street is my hood.
Triple A, thanks so much for this video and all the rest. Interesting enough with this video I remember all the names of the streets but unfortunately I can't recognize them, just the hospital, Wesley church (my church) and Electricity building. Freetown is really different now in my eyes after 35 years. Outstanding work you're doing 👏🏽 👌🏾 👍🏾
Places like these should be the ones that showcase the beauty of Freetown 💔. God help us! Can we have the strength to fight for good leaders and stop the affinity of corruption and corrupt leaders? Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much for these videos I plan on visiting soon I was looking for videos to show me what I’ve been missing/how things are.You do it very well.I’m just getting excited anytime I see your videos
OMG thanks so much for making this video brings lots of memories after leaving Freetown for over 20yrs remind me so much of my childhood days and yes it my High school MGHS thanksgiving day I belief it the first Sunday in February
It's a two lane one way street. Great videos by the way. You dae make we dae enjoy na America. I remember me and you with my brothers eat a lot of acheke na Abijan 1998.
My old primary school! It’s St Mary’s and St Anne’s. Back in the days. 2 separate schools. Not sure it’s the same. Damn I remember my time in that school. Fun facts. Ghost stories. Lol
Thank you triple a for giving us an updated version of freetown cause i left immediately after the 2000 war@ Boss i am teally disappointed you you go down to former SLET to see how the building looked like @ I worked in thst building for sbout 11 years.Could you do another video with Sierratel for me, please!
Thank you and your team for a great video. You choose a good time of week to film the video. I used to walked from Brookfields to big Waterloo Street a lot as a child and teenager.
Yes bra tenki oh AAA 👍🏿🙌🏾👏🏿 nor forget de up part of central oh, Fort street , Soldier street , State avenue etc, well done en kushe oh keep it up we da wait oh yah good man
Congratulations on the video, it was excellent, Freetown is a wonderful city, I hope to visit one day. I started a channel here on UA-cam recently and record in the same way here in Brazil. I signed up, I will follow you from now on. A big hug !!!🙂
I remember back in the 80's to the early 90's, the post office building used to be one of my favourite. It's disappointing to see it in the current situation.
Thanks AAA👍🏽 I think using a car is way better for picture stability, couple up with a wide angle lens, that caps it all up my brother, brilliant videography 💯👍🏽👏🏽
Night shift club, Wendy’s restaurant, Aunty Sofie restaurant, Lido hotel, general jewelers, SLETC, Dilly’s restaurant, Sabuya restaurant, cold storage, daily mail building, Kay’s club, IBTI, NDB, Newco building, etc just to name a few around these locations that I could remember by watching this video. Those mentioned are no more anyway 😂thanks for sharing. Whenever u have drone please revisit those places again.
Hollywood is making two different Sierra Leone movies , I wonder if it will boost tourism. The movies will be called “becoming noble” and “Saltwata vibes”. Look the titles up for more details.
By passing this beautiful road the viewer gets a feeling of the city`s history. So it seems to be a "must to see" for tourists. By the way, are there any guided tours through the city with information on its past development and so on and if so, how much will it cost? Many thanks for your efforts to present this remarkable quarter of the capital. 😊
@@alexsalemo9137 I think the stimulus and uniqueness of a place sometimes can be valued better by an outsider (foreigner like me) rather than by a resident. Freetown definitively is a fascinating city and its inhabitants shouldn`t be too modest to spreat this message beyond their country. If I was born in Freetown I would be very proud of it. 🙂
I have been in 19 african countries. So far South Africa is the most developed in terms of infrastructure(water, roads and electricity). Kigali,Rwanda top cleanest african city, where plastic and dumping waste is totally ban. In terms of tourism, Egypt has the highest number of tourists, although the infrastructure is still poor in many areas. Zanzibar despite poor infrastructure,is becoming more and more attractive to tourists. Also Kenya,Ethiopia,Tunisia,Botswana and Morocco very popular tourist attractions. These are my personal views, not official statistics.
I agree! Sierra Leone has so many island but no resort to attract tourism. Sierra Leoneans are missing out on tourist. The country is so rich and beautiful however, it’s just running it self down the rabbit hole. We need development in that country.
I expected to see much more traffic (congestion, crazy driving) and people in the central business district. Freetown is much more orderly than Accra, Ghana, where chaos reigns in many parts of the city (not just the central business district). I adjusted to it while I was there, and actually miss it. America (Washington, D.C.) seems so boring, orderly, & vanilla) when compared to Accra.
@wondersarfo9201 Accra dances circles around Freetown 😂 Give Accra 10 additional years and see where its at. It's already rapidly developing with roadway dualization, interchanges, buildings (many highrise residential, financial, etc), along with the fact that we are attempting to stay green all while doing that. Accra is wayyyyy above Freetowns league, so I dont even know why they bother to compare 😂
Tell authorities to build only low rise maximum 5 storey high sloped roofing buildings ,shops ,otha beelding Flat highrise here n there spoiling Freetown beauty
