- Stonehenge was vandalized by Just Stop Oil. But this is not about the environment or the climate. Their real motivation is not protecting nature. Why did they do it? I think I know why.

To be fair,just what do you think European nations were doing to foreign nations when they spent centuries invading and colonizing lands that did not belong to them? They did far worse than deface some heritage sites. That is the source of their hate of the West. The hate goes back a very long time. It is only modern technology that now enables those to now lash out. You reap what you sow and the cycle of revenge just keeps spinning and will do so until justice is exacted....not revenge, justice. There is a difference

Real serious story about the greatest sculptor europe had incoming:
Constantin Brâncuși was once called to make a monument ensemble in the county capital of the county he was born, he made them, 3 main pieces and couple of others who were scattered across the city. Now when he came to do it he declared: I left you poor and stupid and came back to you poorer and stupider. Those words were his downfall, because:
- his memorial home is in shambles not because of lack of funding but because the authorities and his family forbade and sabotage any attempt to salvage it.
-the 3 main pieces of the ensemble were desecrated even from the moment he mounted them there and to this day they are cared just so they can resist another year
-the small extras of the ensemble are literally used as places to store the garbage and there's no plan to protect them
- the authorities purposely sabotaged the only way to save this by getting them as UNESCO Heritage sites.
Now the solution i propose after this is to just move them all in here, yeah they will be treated like crap but... these idiots will actually change their strategy if they see what we can do to them, and will try to protect them.
Trust me it already happened with other idiots that realised what big fuck up they did when they brought their own mentality in the Balkans during wwii, our way of disposal making even them to think we might need to be the next ones on the list of things that needs to be addressed

Actually, some of them did invade racing circuits during the British Grand Prix, and the Berlin E-Prix. In the Berlin E-Prix, two of them tried to superglue themselves to the track in front of the cars. Security did not care, and ripped them off the concrete, there were no negotiations. Some guy lost a fair amount of skin on that track.

But also their own right to save money and turn off the heating overnight (it was a cold winter) and gave them a bowl (out of reach) for toileting. We should be angry, but not only about these guys. We should be angry at the poluted rivers throughout the country, literally if you do some research you will find out that the whole of england rivers and waterways are poluted. Nature is in decline at such a fast rate that I dread to think what is coming. Cultural heritage is important & so is the nature that surrounds it. This is not about Stonehenge, this is about how we respect & love the natural world around us. I do not condone what they have done but I also do not condone the utter atrocity that is our total decimation of the natural world.

You think of all the history and the craziness that those stones are from 100s of miles away, and then you have some bored middle class hippies using it as a prop in their ideological desecration. I'm from Romania. I never visited Stonehenge and yet all I feel it utter anger towards these people. I would have most likely been arrested together with them if I would have been there when they did that because I don't think I would have been able to restrain myself. We have a hard time knowing our own history because there was a constant cycle of idiots like these, who think destroying precious manuscripts, art or sacred places said something better about their beliefs or convictions. It never did. NEVER. It just stained any of the achievements they might have had and robbed us all of a piece of our past and knowledge.

I'm with you Bjorn, over fishing, micro plastic are the real damage to the environment. I noticed our green belt land being built on in my area to provide housing and business, not one of these people have stood up and said stop, we're losing our wildlife and the green belt is to protect against flooding. I dreamt about such a flood some years ago in my area, I'm just hoping it doesn't happen.
I don't understand why these people aren't fighting for the right cause. I believe they're paid actors and don't even know what they're doing, the worst part is you can get a fine for speeding and have your licence revoked, you can have two years in prison for putting up a sticker yet these clowns get no punishment whatsoever. As nuts and counterproductive as they are, to be fair, and I've worked in it, the house and garden plant trade uses loads of natural resources to grow plants most people let die. Their production emits far more CO2 than the plants will ever absorb too. Same for all industrial agriculture. I'd shut the cut flower trade down and make picking wild flowers illegal. Grow your own in your garden from seed or buy some from the nearest neighbour with a garden. Take cuttings.

Strange to think, centuries ago, people would never dare do such acts precisely because the societal response at the time was so severe, whereas now they are pandered to, encouraged by marxist media, etc. How odd then that during centuries of "pre-enlightened" thinking, these monuments and structures sustained, but now our diluted and fractured societies don't collectively care enough to react, while doing so individually would incur greater retribution. We are not allowed as individuals to defend that which is valued, while the state, media and education structures tolerate or encourage the damage.
That punishment will never come from any system, sadly. It will only come from people who have had enough.🙏

As a child, in the 1960s, we used to stop off at Stonehenge on our way to Cornwall for our summer holidays. We always had a picnic lunch, with my mother sitting me on one of the stones, as did many others, since it was all open at the time. Never once, did anyone leave litter or vandalise those amazing sacred stones.
I've traveled across both Europe and Asia. Cultural heritage should be viewed as a treasure. It's traces of our ancestors. Those who passed long ago live through these monuments. It's a symbol of our past that deserves the utmost respect.
The entire natural world also deserves that respect.. It makes me question the word "sacred" and what is sacred? An oak tree that is 1000 years old? A meadow of flowers that has given food to a plethora of insects since before Stonehenge was built? A great forest that is now a highway? What a great job of respecting that, our world governments have done in recent times!

There are ways of doing things and at the moment we ain’t doing it right, I do not condone what they did but frankly this is a drop in the ocean. What happens behind closed doors is way worse than this. You can’t swim in any river in england because of the risk of there being sewage in it from the water companies that take their profits and do NOTHING to sort out the infrastructure, sweeping sewage into waterways. Instead they’d rather pay out big sums to their management. It’s a disaster. It is a miracle that places like Stonehenge even exist in a world of corruption and greed from the bottom of my heart I hope that something is done to sort out this total loss of spirituality, appreciation for nature and each other.

Once I saw a video of ISIS destroying 10,000 year old ancient statues, I realized that there is little hope of preserving these ancient structures.

They also intend to burn all the wills in the principal probate registry that is from 1858 up to about 90 years ago. The excuse is to save money on storage costs but that will remove a huge store of historic evidence of peoples lives. They say all the wills will be filmed first and digitized but this is unsatisfactory. There is the real danger of pages being missed out,blurry filming,edges cut off. As this filming work will be done by prisoners in british jails for pin money and as most of those prisoners are functionally illiterate and have no interest in history,and as most of them don't know who their fathers are,and a lot not even who their mothers are,this does not give much confidence in the future resource only available via a device. And for how long until the format no longer fits.

@@layinlow77it's a calendar, burial ground and holy temple from 2600BC constructed by the first peoples that arrived in Britain. It's a symbol of just how long the history of Britain stretches back and while they're man made they're almost a part of the land itself.
@@DJRockford83 Thank you for that info. I have heard some about it being a calendar, as a lot of ancient stone structures are. It certainly should be a serious crime to damage such an ancient and revered monument.
@@DJRockford83 It's more than just a symbol from thousands of years ago. Earth energies, ley lines connect to so many ancient sites and the people have lost the real purpose of them. As Nikola Tesla stated: “If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.”
But it's not and that's why they attacked it. They wanted to attack something connected to the one and only people who see it as their own.
They don't win anyone to their side of the debate with their antics, they just create animosity, anger and hatred towards their organisation.

We as Western/ European countries are doing very well with our environmental stewardship. I just got back from Egypt. Trash is in the canals, river, street, and empty lots. These areas are used as dump sites. Piles of trash. In Cairo, smog hovers over the city. The buildings are blackened. The antiquity sites are better. I know we can do better, but that trip changed my perspective.

I saw a show on t.v. once that said that Italy has 200 pieces of art pilfered and stolen every week. Ancient mosaics, sculptures, paintings, etc. It's because art is so ubiquitous there, on every wall, in every cave, etc that it is hard to protect.
Amazing how many places in the world are like this -- endless trash, poverty, no respect for the environment, etc My friend went to Bali to scuba dive and was horrified by the pollution, especially the islands of floating trash around the island. The people have no connection to the land or environment what so ever. They don't swim, fish, surf, or recreate in the ocean and their land is polluted beyond repair. Quite a surprise from the glossy advertisements one sees in the magazines.

I visited Stonehenge, in 1972. I was only 22, but drawn to it due to the mystery of the stones. I was able to walk around the stones and touch them. My husband (at the time) was French and we spent time in Brittany France where he was from. He took me to as many stone monuments in the area as he could, as these fascinated me. I did not realize that there were circles in Norway as well. Just got back from second cruise to Norway, and visit to Iceland. I agree with your analysis, everything "western or white" is under attack. I am American, but my ancestry is very European. I think the world is full of many insane people, and it seems through many elections in Europe that conservative views are returning. Thank you for this post.
I went to stonehenge on the Solstice, just a day after the incident. There was no damage to the stones, or evidence that it ever happened. Thankfully.

Sorry to see that your beautiful stones were vandalised. It’s so sad. I’m Catholic, but love these ancient sites. My church, which is precious to me, was vandalised last year. The vandals threw prayer candles across the church and desecrated the altar. I was so upset and it shook our Parish. Thankfully some people walking past heard commotion in the church and got them out. We are determined to keep the doors of the church open every day, but we had to install CCTV. It’s very upsetting.
