I like this. A lotta people will rag about how "its not budo". Well theres not a single kata, form or poomse thats "real budo". From a combat POV they're ALL USELESS. BUT if you think martial arts are about more than just fighting and that forms are part of that then you may aswell set the difficulty and skill level super high. At least then you learn athleticism and gymnastic ability instead of just a worthless prearranged set of blocks and punches

@@kashvisingh9797 his reverse kicks are way on point and he has a stable balance and posture I'm amazed by how he was able to have a good stance after doing a 450 kick and 360 this guy is actually amazing
why do i feel like he was nervous when he did this countless times...his landing was not smooth as always...perhaps he knew this was competition not perfomace😂
Uhm, that's pretty much just calisthenics. No relax then tension. A 12 year old girl can do what he did; I've seen gymnastic girls do stuff like that easily. Definitely NOT martial arts. Kukkiwon Taekwondo is an amazing and powerful martial arts. This was not Taekwondo.
I agree with you on that, speed and power is all that matters in a fight, though this stuff is just for those who appreciate the forms instead of the actual properties of practical moves.
Mordrion Lee even the sparring is not real TKD. TKD is a lot more than kicking. The dojang I went to is WTF affiliated but we didn’t care a lot about sport TKD, we only had one class a week dedicated to it. It just bothers me that when one talks and thinks about TKD all that comes to mind is what people see in sport and that practitioners don’t hold up their hands.
I completely understand what you mean, I think the reason they have the point concept in the first place is because people are getting hurt from the previous way of sparring, getting knocked out in boxing is already deadly, if tkd had ring fights I would think the injuries would be much more common. All in all I believe that they shouldn't have the belief of points even being a concept because the martial arts purpose is not being clearly used and if they did make ring fighting for tkd, you know that the rules would be don't have a dangerous fight without willing to get hurt. I believe that once they are willing to accept that the martial art is meant to hurt people and not for point tagging, it would be stronger than muay Thai by a mile.

Not a perfect performance. Several noticable flaws . But none the less , still exceptional and I am sure one of the best in the world.

Really cool performance but this has absolutely nothing to do with Taekwondo. Sad that a fighting martial art is basically a gymnastics floor routine.
