For anyone who stumbles onto this video; I'd like to offer advice of my own. It's a beginners guide. There are multiple ways to shut down assault and coyote rushes. To prevent early assault rushes from crushing you, spread your own infantry around choke points on the map. This doubles as early warning and a delay tactic. Between ranks 10 and 4 I used this tactic against resistance players with great success. While delaying enemy scouts, you can see a large rush incoming very early. You can start preparing long before they reach you. I generally preferred to start with 2 power plants, 2 supply centers, and depending on the map, 2 or 3 barracks. The faster you get your infantry out there, the sooner you can lock the map down and observe any moves they make. You have a higher chance of finding and collecting resource packages with so many troops moving around at the same time. Don't forget to send at least a few scouts into their base. You can get a general idea of what their strategy will be just from the buildings they have. Scouting can also determine whether or not a rush of your own is possible. Control the map : Control the game. Send in the tanks as either a counter rush, or make your move first. Either way, this strategy worked great for me. To counter coyote or Amadillo rushes, the above with infantry covering choke points around the map is still viable. Confederate tanks trash coyotes. Tanks with rpg infantry will deal with armadillos. Don't forget that RPG infantry are lethal to resistance helicopters. Their helicopters can't strafe and fire like confederate drones can. To prevent being annihilated by a large air rush, RPGs are extremely effective. Upgrades are important, but strategy is even more important. The above is what I've personally used, and 8 times out of 10, I crushed any rush in the early leagues. Remember to balance your own army out and prepare counters after scouting. Scout frequently. Not scouting leaves you open to being overwhelmed because you weren't prepared. By the way; most dangerous rushes that I've encountered happen between 5 minutes + That doesn't mean you can't be rushed earlier; however rushes earlier than that are generally easy to defend.
1 final add on. Between 10 and 15 infantry is what I prefer to immediately start with. If the enemy remains silent on the map, I immediately scout and start building up my economy. If their army inside could possibly take me out, focus on defense until I'm certain what I have made can stall, and then focus on economy again. A thriving economy means a larger chance of continuously pumping out troops for either defense, or offense. I've played quite a bit of both resistance and confederation. As of this moment, my small confederation account has a 100% win rate. I believe I've played 8 pvp games with it currently. It's not my first account, and it's not the first time I've played confederation. I've restarted the game twice and don't intend to do so again since I'm now confident in my strategies. Both factions are powerful in their own way; it just depends on how you use them.
Pretty good for beginners. Do you have an advanced guide? My strategy currently works between 12 and 10; but I'm sure that above that it's going to get a little more tricky.
yeah - that’s when AoW3 is pay to win. One thing i dont highlight in this vid is a better use of boosts. Try to use boosts throughout. Start with a building one, then resource, then infantry training. As soon as you fight the enemy use an attack one.
I have notice the heavy pay to win on this game. You can purchase an extra research que so you can upgrade two things at the same time, or buy a pack that allows you to cut all research time in half. Plus all the boost you mentioned.
Is there a way to increase the building area? In a pvp today my space was filled after 7 buildings and I could not build more buildings. My opponent had 24! buildings and at least 3 times the building space. Of course I had no chance. Thx
@@ProfWho-ut5he I believe you have to upgrade your construction building or add another one- It’s been about 6 months since I played so I could be wrong

Helpfull my guy
thanks for your tip :)
I tried this tactic, but the only problem was my opponent was using the same exact scheme with an upgraded army. 😥

Luck plays a big part, too.
