OMG! I have this same unit, except mine is an Axis, I have the same exact issue. Thank you Thank you Thank you for making this video. I just called this shop to make an appointment. I asked if they were familiar with this video and he chuckled and said OH YEAH...LOL

I just bought a Thor Vegas 2015 and kept feeling like it was pulling.. I took it to a semi truck alignment and you are totally right the casters were off as well as the alignment... now it drives like at peach... thanks for the info..

This is great information well presented! Thank you. I am looking at buying a Vegas or Axis, though driveability has been an issue in the RVs we rented. Just like you said about your cross country trip. The last one seemed to float on the road, cross wise over 60. Anyway, subscribed and liked.
I can't believe this video just showed up I have a Thor axis myself 2016 we took it on a cross-country trip exactly the same thing you were talking about I mean exactly I had an appointment to have the front end lined up next week as we're planning another cross-country trip this is perfect I'm actually thinking about cancelling my appointment and going to Anderson as I also live in Central South Carolina again thanks also I'm pricing a front stabilizer bar wonder if you think that is worth the cost $477 not installed

This is crazy timely! We just picked up our new (to us) Axis today from the 1st owner that never had an alignment done. The first hour was pretty white-knuckled. I got used to it, but ours is doing the exact same thing: pulling to the right unless I keep the wheel turned to the left about 11 o'clock. We are in Pennsylvania, so I will take your ideas and discuss with the local alignment shop (that is next to a large RV dealer- so I am hopeful they are used to these). Question: how "full" would you suggest having all the tanks prior to taking it in?
If you have to physically hold the steering wheel off center to get the vehicle to go straight that is an alignment issue not a steering wheel centering issue. If the vehicle is driving straight and the steering wheel is just oof center with no pressure holding the steering wheel then it is a steering wheel centering problem. That is usually caused by an alignment being done and the steering wheel not centered when adjusting the toe in.

That is definitely alignment problem. Pulling to one side like that is not a steering wheel centering problem. No matter where the steering wheel is you should not have a pull to one side or the other
We're thinking about buying one of these pretty soon. Now that you've had yours for a while what do you think of it? Can most people's wives drive it?
With some practice any one can drive it. We like ours it done us well. We lived in it for almost 8 months. Still have it just haven't been able to use it this season.
Have you tried to silence the two plastic hollow beams that go down the sides of the windshield

Do you have the alignment specs when finished, understand that they are not for all Vegas/Axis units but good for reference. I noticed his screen showed a F53 chassis - is there not a e450 chassis setting?

First, thanks for this very informative video. I rented an RV and drove from Missouri to Denver and wrestled with the RV the whole way. I was exhausted. Now we are looking to purchase an RV, specifically the Thior Vegas 24.1. Which model do you have and any tips you could share, thx?
Thank you. We have the 25.3 Be prepared to work on it. A lot of people complain about things. Keep in mind you are driving a house down the highway which is going through a hurricane and an earthquake at the same time. Stuff is gonna break and stuff is gonna come loose, lol.

It really depends on the model you choose. We have 2 folding camp chairs in our pass side compartment.
Do you have the before and after spec to compare? Or more info on the Caster? I'm experiencing the exact same thing. I have my before and after but don't understand enough to see if my caster is an issue.

Me too. I'm pretty sure it was close to 3.6 castor on both sides or a little less caster on the left. Like maybe 3.6 on the right and 3.2 on the left. Jo-Ann will probably set it about 3/32 towed in or whatever that computes to degrees of angle. Maybe. .050 degrees in.
Almost every Ford with twin I beam suspension I've worked in in the last 50 years was set to pull right. Most front wheel drive cars are set at zero tow or towed out. Most of the front tires wear out on the inside within 25 or 30 thousand miles. And they all drifted to the right.

I think any class C front end will automatically benefit from a good alignment.
