Feel bad for the guy responsible for the gameplay of the first segment, who had to play Just Cause 4 for this video. Respect to that person o7
That's so sad 😞 if people who have a gambling 🎰 problems at the casino and they take it out on the staff members or themselves. This is why certain people shouldn't be gambling at all 😮.
Am I the Genius didn't put chapter marks, so I'm putting them here.

I'm from Atlantic City and worked in the casinos for 5 years before joining the military. I don't gamble just because of some of the crazy things I've seen and heard while on the job. I've seen people empty out their life savings over this addiction. The main street that all the casinos are on are full of Pawn shops. So they'd get a lot of our customers walking over to one to pawn whatever they had on them to get some more money to lose. The worst of it all is around Christmas time where someone would lose everything and then jump off the garage. They had to install gates on the open and the top to keep people from jumping off. Plus up the amount of guards that patrol. I'm glad I don't work in that industry anymore.
I had a job working with children at a daycare ages infant through after school. I remember turning on the tv the morning of September 11th and seeing a building smoking. I thought it was a movie or something, but then I saw the word “LIVE" on the screen. I realized this was something that was really happening! The Twin Towers! I sank down on my bed in disbelief as I watched. My Mom called me to ensure that I was up on time and told her what I was seeing on tv. My voice was shaky as I told her that I was scared and was thinking of just calling out sick. She told me, “Kristi, those kids are going to need you today, they'll be scared too and need someone to hold them." I went to work but parents were coming to pick up their kids early, before lunch/nap, and most of us just got to go take the rest of the day off because so many children left. I think I ended up going to Mom's classroom and helping her. It was a lesson on soldiering on and doing what needed to be done for those who needed us, namely those little ones!
That's so sad 😞 when your own rich children don't know how to do simple household duties around their own homes 😢. In the so called real world 😕 no one is going to babysit these rich kids when they mature into adults 😢!! Think about this folks 😕.
5:45 now that’s impressive
I almost cried in story 7 when the dogs were mentioned
I did not see the case but heard of It from my aunt who was at the casino of a caribean Cruise.
An old lady seemes to have lost over 150K the day prior. The Cruise líne gave her 15k to keep playing (not as credit to Pay back, but casino-only cash) in order to consolé her.
Guess they managed to dodge an old lady having an attack
Vaya experiencia intensa debió haber sido. Es importante recordar que los casinos pueden ser lugares emocionantes, pero también es clave mantener la calma y no dejar que las emociones nos dominen. ¡El autocontrol siempre es la mejor apuesta!
The house always wins... if it didn't, they would go bankrupt.
The gamblers getting mad at people swooping in on a machine they’ve been feeding aren’t irrational. By law it has to pay out a certain percentage. The irrational part is that you’re feeding a machine guaranteed to keep 25% of the money you put in it in return for some flashing lights.
I have to say I hate these massive videos with multiple topics.
I usually skip the medical stuff because anything related to junk injuries make me flinch and semi feel the pain myself. It's difficult to skip them when they're in the middle of these videos.
Ooo, early!
On millennials not being able to buy a home - I thought I wouldn't be able to, and I don't think I could today, but in late 2020, I managed to purchase a house just under 1000 sq. ft. in a not terrible location for 94k. I needed out of the apartment I was in, because the neighbors were trash, and not sharing a wall or floor/ceiling with someone anymore lit a spiteful fire under me.
To this day, I still could not tell you what stars were aligned to allow me to purchase it. I barely put down anything down (less than 2k). Closing costs were nothing. It needed some structural fixes that I've been able to do through loans, and I had two roommates for a couple years that helped with expenses until they could afford their own place, but beyond that, I'm still baffled. I got incredibly lucky.
(I don't want to downplay the role my friends had in helping me be able to afford to fix the structural things - being able to split the mortgage and utilities with them absolutely made a huge difference I can never truly repay them for. They just weren't responsible for any of the purchasing of the house, as that had to be entirely me, my credit, and my abysmal savings. They very much helped offset the expenses that came after, and I can only hope I helped them save up for their house during the time they lived with me).
