@@junk4dimeji yes of all time, without a doubt. Its iconic and beautiful from ever angle - and its composition is like no other you'll hear from anyone but Fukui. It says a 1000 words without actually saying a 1.
@@AllIn1Studioit’s not really about the number of chords. It’s about fluctuation between notes which makes it hard. Even the person isn’t playing with the same fluidity. Learning and memorizing chords and notes are easy lol
It is not the greatest jazz piece of all time. It is an amateur busking and riffing around on two minor chords.Gmi9 and A minor 7. With a groove bass lick. That’s all!! Limited vocabulary. Go listen to Bill Evans Oscar Peterson Errol Garner George Shearing ART TAUM then get back to us.
@@AllIn1Studio I've listened to them all, this is the purest. This is the most masterful. You may call is 'busking' and 'riffing' but the difficulty of a piece doesn't nearly determine how good it sounds. I can play the majority of these bill Evans pieces and I can play early summer and I would take early summer every day of the week. To call Ryo Fukui of all jazz pianists an 'amateur' is nothing but disrespectful .
It doesn't sound quite like the actual song. Is it because Ryo's piano was tuned differently when he recorded it? Or are the notes wrong. I'm desperate to learn how to play this piece and I really want to get it right. Regardless, thanks so much for posting this - I've been looking for play throughs of this song forever now
I have to add extra notes or it wouldn't sound nice. Playing the piano as he plays it without the drums and the double bass makes it feel a little empty. His piano is also a little out of tune which gives a cool sound
And to think that Ryo really learned to play the piano at the age of 22, it's never too late people...
Self taught?!!
@@Jantalus No idea, but he made this song after only playing for 6 YEARS... crazy
I'm 29 man

My mission in life is to give love and support to everyone who even mentions Ryo Fukui on youtube 🫡 amazing cover
The best jazz piano track of all time. There's nothing higher than this.
i dream of one day playing all of fukui's songs
It is one of my favorites, no doubt. But “off all time”? C Jam
Blues by Oscar Peterson for a start.

No scenery? No voyage? No mellow dream?
And of course my Foolish Heart or Waltz for Debby
mouth agape in awe
Incredible, didnt think anybody could play this but the man himself
It’s easy - it’s just two chords!
@@AllIn1Studiocool! Which ones
@@krullebolalexsolo sections are just Gm7 and Am7 but the bridge is Gm7, Am7, Fm7, Bb7, Ebmaj7, and G7#5b9
@@krullebolalexand in the outro its the same progression as the bridge but cut the g minor and a minor

I’m about to spend 3 weeks watching your hands just to get the first minute down haha. Thanks for this Dylan
I learned how to play “scenery” by ryo and it was really really hard. Can’t even fathom delving into “early summer”. Great playing man!!!
Try playing Feux Follets or Mazeppa by Liszt instead - maybe you will have an easier time lol!
man its been a year since i first was moved by this track, today marks the second time because of this video
I’m in love with this video
a tutorial even just for the intro would save my life I'm begging you
Intro is just a vamp on Gm and Am
like the other guy said, just arpeggiate Gm and Am with the left hand (bass note lower on the register) and play the melody on the right
Only use the original to learn, this guy's rhythm is way off
why hasn't this blown up wtf
