Thank you SO much! I’m so glad there are people like you in the world who post such helpful things! I’m a newly divorced woman whose ex used the do all the car stuff. This intimidated me at first but I did it step by step with the your video and it was not hard at all!!
Best detailed video for the Enclave. You were lucky. My retractable retaining cord was too short and did not stretch all the way to the outside of the dash. Trying to hold it with a pair of needlenose pliers and close the box enough to fit the nub in the side hole of the box took me 45 minutes. I honestly lost my religion. I was lucky that no GM engineers were around or I would be in prison now.
Good video. Good instructions! One note: the tether at 6:10 is elastic and needs to be stretched like a rubber band to re-attach to the glovebox. I didn't notice this when detaching the tether initially, so was really puzzled after installing new filter that the tether now appeared shorter and wouldn't reach the hole on the glovebox. After a few minutes of head scratching I tugged on the tether again and realized it is elastic. The glovebox went back in place without a hitch after that.
Of course, they always have to change something to make it more difficult and keep you on your toes! That or your 2014 was missing the screw 😂 Glad the video helped!
Truly a great video. Camera got in so close to the tether that I could actually see how it works. Thanks Tony for the step by step instructions. I put in a K&N VF2071 washable and reuseable filter in our 2018 Buck Enclave Avenir.
@@BobElston-yy2ib Hi there! According to the replacement diagram I looked up for a 2019 Encore, it shows you just grab the plastic ear on each end of the filter cover and squeeze inward towards each other while simultaneously pulling the cover off. Hope this helps.
This was a terrific video that got me through the job with ease. Unfortunately, I'm the guy who did drop the self-tapping screw. Any idea what size that is? Thanks!
I’m not sure off the top of my head, but I’d imagine any size slightly larger than the screw hole will work since it just threads into plastic and can stretch a bit if need be. If I had to guess, I’d say the screw is probably a #6 or #8. You could probably run without the screw also if you really wanted since the filter door has the clips on it.
That I’m unsure of. I would just google images the interior of a 2017 and then a 2021 and visually compare them best you can, or try to find the part number for one and see if it matches the other.

🤣🤣 I know the feeling all too well. Glad you won!

Indeed, those can be a pain sometimes! Thanks for the input!
Love the detail of this video. Thank you for the great resource
Glad I could help!
Of course they had to add a screw lol my 2014 didn't have a screw, it was nice and convenient. So glad I watched your video!

You're a rockstar 💪🏼
I wish 😜

@@GeorgeRadchenko Awesome! Glad I could help and thank you for the kind words!
Have any idea on a 2019 Encore (base model), no screw and it's not really clear how to take off the cabin filter access door.

@@TonyTheTruckGuy Thanks again!
I dropped the screw and of course can't find it. Also, the filter I removed pointed down for air flow. Looks like yours is pointing up.
It really shouldn’t matter in the end so long as there’s actually a filter in there
Vary good video 👍👍👍
Thanks!
Do you know if 2017-2021 door panels fit each other

Oh ok thanks
