- Melbourne Music Show 1988, I Don't Take Responsibility for the video, it is not mine, i'm not trying to make money or what not, i am uploading for people who do not have the dvd because it has been taken off the market.
We've had the lot in Australian music...so so spoilt...the BEST...THE BEST
Thankyou thankyou thankyou
The very best
I was in a band back then and we got the power cut for playing "Am I ever gonna see you face again" We were given plenty of warnings not to play it but we were young and full of importance so we did Ha Ha It was in pub in Shepperton , cant remember te name
I Only Came Here For The Angels....
Me too. A keytar? Must be the guy from Suedo Echo joining them onstage? Cripes.
Awesome lineup Choirboys rocked it! Mark Gable is an amazing front man!
Doc Neeson, mad as a hatter, but easily the best frontman in rock
love him as a showman, but as a parent, i really feel for whoever raised him o_O
"Mad as a hatter" really sums up the Doc. RIP
Painters and Dockers... haha XX Excellent. :-)
Painters and Dockers were just on it here. So good. Those kids down the front know it
Out there they are the painters and dockers. It here they're just another bare bum in the shower.
Oh what times of freedom, great music, freinds just a bloody good time
Wish someone who is kind enough to maybe sell the dvd or cd please
Memories of this aus festival plus Nara at Gosford
Remember when go pubs to watch bands Not bloody pokies employed more workers they did
Any a ay thank you for this 🤪🤪🤣🌈🌈✌💜💜💜💯💯
Doc at his very very best. Legend. RIP my friend
I beg to differ. Doc was at his best around ‘78-‘83 imo
Watched the great sound checks, now for the real thing! More than 3 hours of Aussie rock history.
Was there as a "guest" of my employer at the time, State Bank of Victoria.
From what I remember ticket sales weren't the best so they gave Staff freebies.
Brilliant concert with some of Australia's best acts ever performing amazing sets, the Video/DVD doesn't do it justice, the Sound Check Clips are so much better quality both Video and Sound.
Still an amazing Concert and the only chance I will ever have to hear some of these amazing acts Live.
i so love this. it great historical australia.
but i especially love johnny diesel and the injectors. they were just fresh and you can see and feel the workload they have been putting in. just working their guts out. a real difinitive time of their journey.
Some great talent here but Doc is by far in a league of his own, as far as front men go.
i think the medal goes to the guy who carried him on his shoulders bouncing around!! :D
Mr. Damage himself!
Choirboys - 'Boys in the Band' is a classic.
The Angels " brothers" reckon they were the Angels foundation. Doc and plenty of other guitarists lit this show up.
Doc, workplace health and safety just shat themselves !! lol
The opening act Painters & Dockers were too cool for the audience. Blew their minds. Painters & Dockers were ahead of their time they were that good. Mate of mine put me on to them over here in New Zealand around 1983. I actually didn't take to them straight away either - took me a few listens to 'get their gist'. But when you get on to their wave length and surf the turf with them you'll understand where they are/were coming from.
Get the gist*
You still have work to do
@@PeaceMakerS2 What are you on about?
@@Blackscorpion1963 you get the gist of what they're doing
@@Blackscorpion1963 you don't get their gist, you get the gist of things
@@Blackscorpion1963 nevermind
This was a great Angels lineup. What a classic set and Doc's off up the scaffold like 12 year old
... except that nonce keyboardist...
Simply gold! Thanks mate.
Ah, theses were the days of real bands that knew how to play live and entertain
I was there!
Somewhere out the back snogging some scrubber from Niddrie..... lol
Such a great concert.
Mark Pattaya did ya bang ‘er?
@@pymats yes
I heard she pegged you...
Niddrie?
@@pymats looooool...🤣🤣🤣
This is excellent. Great to see Diesel early in his career. Thanks for uploading!
thanks for uploading this. I only just discovered this amazing concert - so many awesome artists! I just had to have it.
But was disappointed when I searched for a DVD to find it's no longer available. I would hit 'order' now if I could buy it
I would still love to have the DVD, but this is the next best thing. Cheers
Rip Doc gone but never forgotten about Angeles and rule
so glad to see brent eccles getting some airtime. will be forever grateful for his scouting and managements
Love Takes Care/I Just Want combo is such a great combo from The Angels
Doc; certified MADMAN
A Legend of rock music, Thank You Doc
Ďeisel. Awesome.
Great work mate... I was at the concert... soooo many memories...
Kicking off with Painters and Dockers - That's gold !!! cheers for sharing
Thanks for the upload, very rare one indeed.
Painters and Dockers. What a freakin crazy great live band. Saw them support The Divinyls and they got kicked off by Chrissie because they were too bloody good and were stealing the show. The crowd was going off their nut. hahaha
good concert Vale Doc Neeson.
Injecter du bonspeed❤

Yeah say hi to Damo ❤ the x wife
🔥🤘🏻
😊❤️
Nice.
Nathan buckley had a mullett and played sax ? cool ...
Hahaha. So many flowing mullets over that arvo. Iva Davies has a lot to be responsible for. A good time to be in the hair products industry?
What’s with the keytar in the angels?
gaybo was totally a frustrated guitarist/vocalist
Poor Roadie 2:07 41
This is amazing! Never saw JD&I live but still play the debut over n over. The guitars are way too low
.. however reading the comments with conservatives as the head honchos....they probably forced the sound guys to turn the gtar down. Just butchered.
what was the venue ???
Melbourne Showgrounds
Rip. Doc. What a legend...Can't beat Aussie legends!
Who’s that first band?? 🤣🤣🤣
1st band was the Painters & Dockers. One of the best live bands I ever saw - from Melbourne
@3:42 hahahahaha cancel culture wouldn't stand for it
Amateurish mix - where is Brewster's guitar - barely audible
