Lyrics:
Thought that I was going crazy
Just having one those days yeah
Didn't know what to do
Then there was you
And everything went from wrong to right
And the stars came out and filled up the sky
The music you were playing really blew my mind
It was love at first sight
'cause baby when I heard you
For the first time I knew
We were meant to be as one
Was tired of running out of luck
Thinking 'bout giving up yeah
Didn't know what to do
Then there was you
And everything went from wrong to right
And the stars came out and filled up the sky
The music you were playing really blew my mind
It was love at first sight
'cause baby when I heard you
For the first time
I knew we were meant to be as one
And everything went from wrong to right
And the stars came out and filled up the sky
The music you were playing really blew my mind
It was love at first sight
2 decades after its release yet this song still sounds so fresh and so current. A timeless classic.
It’s such a catchy song 💚 also might have something to do with 90’s style dance beats becoming popular again, and people feeling nostalgic for the early 2000’s.
Ikr!?! I can't believe it's already been 20 years since this song was released. It still sounds fresh and contemporary. How time flies...
@@kominion It's kinda cool that this kind of pop music makes a comeback. When this song was released I was 12, in early middle school. It really brings back lovely memories. I've been on a 2000's pop music binge lately. Listening to the songs I grew up to in my teenage years makes these dreary days more bearable.
Agreed.
@@nikkili8944 I make it 19 years!
Kylie Minogue represents Y2K Futurism better than any other artist I can think of. Her music and music videos have a cutting-edge timelessness, abounding in that 2000s positive, hopeful energy for the new millennium I miss so much (her performances at the Sydney Olympics are a great example of that). It’s crazy how Kylie’s music can be both so nostalgic and always like she’s living in the future while we are all trying to catch up. She is our POSITIVE TIMELESS ICONIC QUEEN 🫅
You said this absolutely perfectly. So true
And how!!!😊😊😊
That's why I love her.
- Released as single in 2002: "Wow, this is a banger!"
- 2023: "Yes, still a banger!"
Stay strong and powerful Kylie Minogue! You are THE MASTERPIECE of Time and Music
This song and video was ahead of its time. Her outfit style can still pass as fashionable in 2023.
Yes and what she wore here is the ultimate. Women are wearing cargo pants in a sexy way lately but Kylie perfected it here. She wore another version of this in her tour but still this look in the video cannot be topped.
naa its more like theres only that many ways u can style a human I MEAN how many version of pants can u get??? jean cargo or short asss butt naked??
@@pykemid3954there are infinite ways to style a human 🐔

This video screams early 2000s. What a beautiful era.
Yes brother. I remember it so well . In nightclubs
That video screams future, the songs today are pure shit going backsteps
2000-2006 was everything
It was. I'd say 05 was a turning point. 06-07 there were glaring changes.
Turn of the century music was like the grand finale before it all went away.
If you are watching this in 2024, stay strong 💪 and we have got you. Just remember that you are a Legend! 😉💯
I came here from listening to Rain on Me by Gaga. The chorus music was so alike. This is better though.

Call me weird... but this is the only upbeat song that makes me cry everytime i hear it... i dont know why, but the whole song vibe and lyrics gives me overall chills, nostalgia, and natural high... anyone else get that feel? 🎉😂❤
I get it! Wholeheartedly!

The song is kinda bittersweet. She made a reference that life wasn't easy until she met someone. Could be part subconscious and nostalgia making you feel
Everything went from wrong to right...i felt it.

I doubt you knew how terrible the stuff on tv was.
Kylie GIVE ME JUST A CHANCE!!!
Sure, the only kylie i know always has been miss Minogue
@Thomas J Why did you need technology? It's just a crutch.
Back when even pop music had those trance-like synths. Very Nostalgic. A really nice song.
Also this song has a pretty heavy French House influence, especially with the filtering and 909 hi hats (basically sounds like discovery era Daft Punk could have made it)
Yep! Some great time in music!
@@banjoplayingbison2275 Been listening to this song for 20 years and never noticed how this could have been on Discovery.
Amazing
I live for those songs!! Takes me back so hard 🤩😩
Yeah it's definitely a tech and filtered house album, Trance is so much quicker!
This song makes me feel like I can't explain. Makes me feel sad, happy everything. Instantly takes me back to a very special time that I can't explain. Such a magical song.
Yup the beat is happy/nostalgic 🥲
When heard this song ,I remember great moments that soon can repeat.
I know it reminds me of a couple springs from way back that cold wet coming from winter and there was a girl that I was flitting around with who had cut her hair short and dyed black 20's flapper style and she always reminds of Kylie - same moody mysterious type
This is actually one of my fave Kylie songs. Just so catchy and the overall beat and imagery is so cool.
And the lyrics are so optimistic

It was actually 20 years old in December 2021 as it was a late track. The last song to be released for the album Fever.
The optimism was in the air during this time. You can feel it in this music video
No depression ...life was simple and enjoyable💫💖
Then 9/11 happened and its been a descent to hell ever since. 😭
@@TH-qb5fx This was released on early 2002, probably the joy was in the air in a way to bring positivity back into people's life, or at least to mtv lol
I'm 33 and have been told the 70's and 80's were better, but I will die on the hill of defending the early 00's as a great time to be alive.
Imo, 2005 was the last decent (but not great) year. 2006 onward life just kept getting more and more retarded with what you were supposed to put up with.
Now, I'm chilling with an easy life and enjoy A LOT of music and playing video games from that time in the little bubble I've built for myself.
@WalkingInMemphis Hell yeah!!! It was a continuation of the late 90's, lots of good varieties of music, bright sporty clothes, good video games, some good movies, actually walking around the mall was fun then, decent job market, people were way sexier looking, and people had more to do in life than besides complain about pollitics.
Remember (LIKE 20 YEARS AGO) when people used to argue that stuff like the self-empowerment movement taught in school and participation trophies would create a bunch of asshole snowflake kids and legalizing gay marriage would open up the flood gates to make ANYWAY way of life acceptable????
Scary, but THOSE PEOPLE WERE RIGHT. MOST OF THE MILLENIALS ARE DELUSIONAL SHIT HEADS WHO ARE COMPLETELY ACCEPTING OF ANYTHING...And I'm not bashing gays, but it's an example.
You can't even SLIGHLTY condemn ANYTHING or slur anything or you could be destroyed on the internet and in real life now. GOOD JOB, OTHER MILLENIALS!!! 👎 WISH I WAS BORN AS A GEN X-ER!!!
2024 still listening this legend...♥️♥️♥️ Love u kylie

Everything about this song - choreo, costumes, art direction, music - could've been done yesterday and it would still have been groundbreaking. It is Kylie's best song - even Padam Padam takes a bow ❤
Padam Padam has nothing on this
I saw this video a few weeks ago in a restaurant, that was mostly playing stuff by Maroon 5, 50 Cent, etc. I was like, "Holy crap, how can Kylie Minogue still look that young?!" I didn't know until later that the song and video were 23 years old. (Not that Kylie doesn't still look great for her age but if she looked like this now I'd suspect she had an oil painting in her home that aged for her.)
Beautiful music mood

I graduated from high school in the year 2002. I remember the first time just relaxing at home, realizing that I am free, now entering the real world. I was watching MuchMusic Spotlight and it featured Ms. Minogue and this was the last song played. At the time, of course, it was her latest single, and it just lifted me up and made me feel alive that I am now in a new phase in my life.
Yes!!! I feel you. I graduated high school in 2005, was on my own, had my first job, and had a love for the first time. This song belonged to the soundtrack of that summer.

go look at what was ahead of this song back then, all great music...
@@nkanellopoulos00 Yep!! The music scene was competitive back then in the charts!! So many golden classics during that time period even though I was a toddler at the time!
Nope, just so many people from the US from music critics to the public who were completely American centric, for many the rest of the world just didn’t exist.
Things are better today but not by much, from the Grammy’s, Emmy’s to the Oscars it’s still Americans first.
It's insane! I believe it had to do with the fact that it was only released as an airplay only single to prevent the song from outselling the album itself, which caused the song to achieve limited success on the chart. They also did the exact same thing with Can't Get You Out of My Head which caused the single to peak at number 7 and only spend 3 weeks in the top 10. I firmly believe if both singles were released physically, they would of charted better. Can't Get You Out of My Head would of been an instant number one and Love at First Sight would of reached the top 5.

The production is so well done.
She was so confident. She knew how hot she was, how good her music was and boy did she enjoy her own jams like the whole world did! In all of her videos, it seems like she is singing and dancing to someone else's jam in her bedroom or shower like we all do when no ones watching, but it's to her own song! I love it!

I dont know how to explain it. Nostalgia? Not really I guess. It feels like I've seen a childhood friend I forgot.

Yes it was all over in the mall, TV radio everywhere! Made me so happy and everyone loves this song
@@nilesc9184 I heard this song at malls, TV, radio, everywhere, nostalgia of Australian beats...

Rarely does an artist make such a flawless record and video. Most underrated song/ video ever (in my opinion)
Yes, everything in IT IS perfect. Gray and orange fit together. Artist looks like a treat in The video.

This Kylie Minogue song never gets old in the slightest.
