- how to start up 2jz gte non-vvti? also same thing for non turbo NA 2jzge non-vvti
basic wiring setup for starting 2jzgte on floor outside the car or in the car
this is basic harnesses wiring for aristo / supra 2jz gte non vvti
you will need to connect the harness, ecu, fuel pump, ignition model, starter, flywheel, and battery.
firing the engine step by step:
1- just connect IGSW, +B, +B1, BATT from the 40pin plug to +12v on the battery.
2- connect F6 from the body loom plug to +12v on battery.
3- connect fuel pump.
4- connect wire from the starter to +12v.
5- connect the ignition ship (ignition model).
6- ground wire from the engine to body of the car or negative on battery.
7- use pin number F1 from the body loom plug to fire up the engine.
40 PIN PLUG:
IGSW = IGNITION SWITCH (INPUT +12V)
+B = SWITCH POWER GOING TO MAIN RELAY (INPUT +12V)
+B1+ = SWITCH POWER GOING TO MAIN RELAY (INPUT +12V)
BATT = BATTERY CONSTANT +12V (INPUT)
BODY LOOM PIN:
F1 = STARTER FIRE UP ( INPUT +12V NON CONSTANT)
F6 = IGNITION SWITCH (INJECTORS, COILS, ETC CONNECT TO SWITCH +12V)
start up aristo / supra engine 2jz twin turbo
firing up 2jz gte on ground
fire up 2jz-gte

the real question is why this man made his video so simple and got the point across not all the stupid showhoboe shit VIDEOS that people make ilove this guy thank you keep up the real work
Today was the first time in my life that I turned on my 2JZ GTE non vvt-i🎉 I am super grateful for your video if it wasn't for this video I don't know what would I do super appreciate it 🤝👌😎🤙
Awesome, I needed this! Thanks!
Awesome video , great job explaining it ..👍
Nice! Thanks for the info
THANK YOU VERY MUCH
This video will help me extremely well in my long journey in the near future to transplant a 2jzgte converted to N/A (NSW Red P Plate Legal) into a 200X VY Holden commodore.
BEFORE anyone comments back read below.
I chose the 2jzgte over the 2jzge because the 2jzgte has a return fuel line back to the tank.
Where as the 2jzge does not, so i can keep the stock commodore fuel lines to motor and return back to tank.
And the intake manifold is on the same side as the stock commodore air box.
Thanks for the info bruh !!! I got my 2jzgte vvti swap to start on first try with your info !!!
Was yours the non vvti
very good, thank you for doing this.
Omg! Perfect!
Very informative💯💯💯such a shame it only have a few views
great help!
Great video almudeeer
Thank you so much!!! Im going to install my 2jzgte in my s14 and I really needed this!
how did your project go!
It didn't lol
Thanks bro.
nice!!

where did you get your pin-out print offs?
I know on the vvti 2jzgte the pin out are different but do I use the same wires to get it running?
I'm having issues getting my mk4 supra to crank after a 2jzgte swap, with a harness from a 6 speed turbo mk4 I don't know where to start..
You need to do this on a lsx.
is the procedure the same for 2jzge vvti ? if not then whats the differences?
Great video! I'm using this info along with the ecu pinout printed for a USDM is300 2jzge. This is what I have so far cut and ready to add battery power to...
Battery (E3-4) black yellow wire *always on.
+BM (E3-7) light blue white *always on.
IGSW (E3-17) black orange *ig switch on.
+B (E3-6) black red *ig switch on.
+B2 (E3-5) black red *ig switch on.
Sensors needed to run (crank and cam) are plugged in. Starter is wired thru the harness and battery. I can activate the starter from the starter relay. Fuel pump in the 240sx is on its own hard wire and relay with a toggle switch.
Do I need anything else to get the engine to start? Will I need to energize the crank and cam sensors?
Kieran Jackson make sure you have the ignition module, throttle sensor, and mass air flow sensor
Nice video. But why engine rpm surging up and down? Ecu in limp mode? Or was fuel issue?
Yes, it was on limp mood. I guess because some things were not connected
Thank you so much! This helped me out greatly. I'm a little confused about the M-REL pin as that's an output. What am I going to output it to?
This is going to the relay. You will need to have a relay to not fried the ecu. This one would turn the relay on with the switch on to turn on the ecu and run the engine. However, you could turn the engine without a relay but it is not recommended
Almudeeer thank you for answering. Still a little confused. The M-REL pin is outputting +12v but only AFTER the ECU received power from the +B & +B1. Are you saying that I need to wire up a relay between M-REL output and +B & +B1 with ign switch ass the trigger signal?
TripasGarage exactly
Almudeeer awesome thank you so much. Just found the main efi relay diagram online on wilbo666 site. Appreciate your video.
So I have left m-rel alone on my build. I have a separate relay sending battery power to the switched power inputs on the ecu including the ignition switch input. The relay is triggered by a toggle switch and the battery. Will this be okay?
Was the oxygen sensor the cause of The surging to the idle? If so would I need to ground the main oxygen sensor so it idles correctly? Any input would be very much appreciated, thank you in advance
Limp mood could be from any sensor. However, I didn’t use the stock ECU when I installed the engine on my car
I'm having a hard time figuring out where the body loom is on my harness? unless I don't have the same harness.
Javier Chavez some harnesses are different, probably you got 2jzgte VVTI. This one on the video is non VVTI
What wire is the last black one to start it? F1? I dont see it one the ECU pinout
It is not on the ECU. It is on a separate plug for the body called loom plug. If you don't have that plug, just follow the wire to the starter or make a new wire to starter
Could you use this or something similar to run the 2jz in a swap?
Yes, it is exactly how it works on any car
What do you mean like from the plug on the starter to the harness?
carlos garcia F1 from the loom plug leads to connector on the starter. So, you could use F1 to start the engine or you could make your own separate wire leads to that connector. You also could use the stock car starter signal and connect it to that connector. So you have many ways to connect the starter whatever way you prefer
Can you do this with a aftermarket ecu to run single turbo like this?
Kane Radcliffe if you get plug and play ecu for turbo 2jz non-vvti, it is gonna be the same wiring. Like AEM plug and play ecu, same wiring. Turbo doesn't effect the wiring weather you go single or twin turbos.
Cheers man 😊
Plan on 2jz swapping my gt86 soon
Would you happen to have the 1jz pinout?
Spencer Suislide check out this link for 1jzgte non vvti

Does this go for a 2jzge from a sc300 too?
it is a JDM 2jzgte non-vvti from Aristo/Supra and also If you have an NA 2jzge non turbo like the stock one on sc300/supra/gs300, it is the same too.
Where do the red/black wires go on my idle air control sensor? Do I need em?
Tony's Garage you don’t need the idle air control
@@Drift240sxSAT I have a red wire on my TPS sensor too and it was cut by the previous owner. Was the red wire needed?
Do you use all the same wires on the vvtli 2jzgte to get it running
No, the 2jzgte vvti has different pinouts.
this is the 2jzgte vvti pinouts

Almudeeer use the pin out on the vvti but use the same wires to get it running
rancherist yes, they mostly would have the same pinouts name plus a few extra ones. look over these pinouts to start the engine on 2jzgte vvti ( +B2, +B, +BM, IGSW, M-REL, BATT, STA, BF2 6, BF2 7, BF2 8, BF2 9) and for automatic transmission you add ( BF3 4, BF3 5, BF3 9)
go to this link and look only over the BOLD font on "how" and "description".

hopefully this would help.
Almudeeer this is helping alot. I couldn't find the bf2 6, bf2 7,bf2 8,bf2 9
What is different with vvti versus non vvti for start up?
2jz gte vvti ecu pin outs are different. ecu and harnesses are different. you can look up at this website to see the vvti ecu pin outs

Thank you!
im having issues with my aristo no stay running how do i go to keep her running
try raise the ideal rpm little bit, maybe it is too low. otherwise you might have vacuum leak.
thank you sir
