However why don't we just have the term "Equalist" instead of Feminist it just sounds more like what it means, as if I "Masculist" became a thing then it would make Feminist more like "supports females only". What do people think? I just believe Equalist means equal to all people and their rights, regardless of sex, sexual orientation, race or class :)
It's called feminism because it was originally created by women for women but has spreed to being all about equalism (and if they call themselves feminist and are man-haters, or only support cis women or women who are white they aren't quite getting the point.)
I get it, but please understand some people are still going to use the term feminism, because usually the people (not you) use equalism not understanding what feminism is.
I know I can't change what people think, I don't hate anyone who calls themselves a feminist or think that they are man haters, just, equalist is a much better word. It's like my problem with the terms "masculine" and "feminine" derive to close from the words "male" and "female" as we both know the only thing to do with that is the thing between your legs and on your chest, not how you act etc.
There was a whole movement..You'd have to change history to change the name, unless of course it was hurting someones feelings..I love that both Ben and Dela are feminists. Everyone should conciser themselves one.
