Got to say this really brought a smile to my face and reminded me that although the world's a shambles we have the opportunity at Christmas to put a smile on our lives ones faces even if it's just for a day. Thanks Celtic FC and Merry Christmas to all you Boys and Girls....sorry zombies you can do one......only joking Hail Hail.😅
Would be beneficial for all if UEFA created hybrid domestic /European league formats. The way I'd do it: All Premier teams qualify for a European divisions based on their domestic league placing i.e. top placed teams into division A where they'll be split into groups Middle placed teams Division 2, etc Teams only play half(?) a domestic season's worth of games against domestic opponents (18 games say), and the other half of their games against European opponents in their division group. Points earned both domestically & against European opponents count towards a teams final domestic points total. *Could do the same thing in reverse too with all domestic points counting towards a teams European division points total? Win your Euro division, win a trophy. It's a little like handicapping but will ultimately benefit everyone. Supporters, UEFA, Domestic leagues & their Clubs, Broadcasters & Advertiser's will have the best of everything... *More games between top teams *More revenue streams *Invaluable experience gained by players playing regularly against the best from elsewhere *A chance of 'upsets' domestically & in Europe with *both points totals counting towards final league standings*, which in turn will eventually benefit everyone as its more competitive. Could still have the European Cup/CL & other current UEFA tournaments running alongside these new leagues, or, replace them entirely and have knock out rounds at the end of a season between the champions of each division levels groups to decide Europes Ultimate Champion for the season. Similarly you have knock out play offs across all the group levels to decide the Ultimate Champions of each respective level. So you could have as many levels as you need to accomodate everyone, organise it so you're always getting big games at prime times for supporters and tv, and all clubs will benefit from it financially & through experience Teams qualify for next season's European group levels based on their domestic finishing place this season which is determined by totalling a clubs domestic & European points gained that season. Sounds more complicated than it is though is also similar to current set ups, but its better for everyone. A dream scenario for advertisers & broadcasters in this type of hybrid league system would be a head to head between two giants in the same euro group, e.g. Celtic v Real Madrid at a seasons end where both need a win to be crowned domestic champions & to top their group...a draws no good to either, defeat is equally disasterous, win or nothing! We could realistically accommodate 100k+ supporters at home in a league set up like this 🏗️👷🏻♂️🏟️ Anyway Santa, that's all i want for Christmas, 9 guaranteed away European games/season, one a month say, + 9 European opponents at Home, in a European-wide hybrid league format that'd be a gift to all 🎁⚽ 🎅🏻
Wait a minute man the two celtic fans that won a chance to be in the video Rachel face is the colour of a Oompa Loompa you think the TV would get the make up lady to match up her neck ? The other wee guy Pierce looks like he needs a blood transfusion .......Oh aye how wonderful Peter Lawwell to be director he seems to do everything else.....
