I see a lot of comments of people complaining about getting stranded waiting for loads, but if you're a gamer with a mobile hotspot then all that downtime is fine.

Thanks for the information on the company. Does Swift have forced dispatch loads or can you turn down loads?
Thanks, and be safe out there.

You can turn down or counter offer on their OTR account for sure. They don’t necessarily like it but you can. It’s a little bit different for my wife and I. There are different team divisions. The one we are in is basically all hot expedited loads. They tolerate turning down the occasional load but when I asked to be put in the division my driver manager warned that they will remove teams from it that routinely turn down loads. But we like the long coast to coast runs that this division comes with as well as decent mileage. Sometimes the connections are unrealistically tight and we have to send in running late macros but we’ve never gotten in trouble for that.

Do you have to park at a swift terminal? or if you have the room at your home will they let you park at there?

You can take it home. Unfortunately our HOA doesn’t allow it. I brought the truck home (bobtail), with the intention of moving it the next day. They threw a fit. Seriously considering selling my home and moving somewhere I can at least bobtail home. Especially if I switch companies.
