Southwest Airlines Gorgeous Landing in Miami (Miami International Airport)

Haven’t been to Florida in over 30 years and have never been to Miami. My first flight to Miami International Airport (MIA) did NOT disappoint. West traffic flow allowed for a birds-eye view of MIA while on downwind (despite the scattered clouds) and the base turn and final approach over the water and coastline was spectacular! The water was absolutely beautiful. This quite possibly could be my favorite landing of all (So far.) Being an avgeek, the variety of airlines at MIA was also fun to see as many of the int’l carriers that serve MIA do not come to DFW.

3:50 you're looking at the shadow of the plane on the bottom of the ocean. No ocean water in the continental US like South Florida and the Keys.
That was some beautiful water. I always enjoy following our shadow on takeoff or landing.

A shame you were seated on the left side of the plane. The right side would’ve had views of south beach and downtown on approach
