Nice idea, I do not see this working on every wreck. Case in-point, any ship with structural damage that cannot be practically supported by the spheres. Many of the ships that are salvaged, are already broken, or the hull is cracked, how would you use such a system on something fragile?
Various people had had the same idea , but now salvage company's have used polystyrene particles to the same effect.

Damages are a part of every salvage. Its inevitable.
I hate to break it to ya but this method was developed by Disney or Warner Brothers and tested by mythbusters using pingpong balls.
Making them bigger with a valve is what makes his method great.
