A career in SAP basis had been a dead end for years ... since companies and SI decided to massively offshore their SAP consultants abroad ... or massively import less expansives foreign ''SAP experts'' because of the alledged IT skills shortage ... The result : Most SAP projects have either miserably failed or not delivered on their promises

No not most - if taht would have been the case then a crisis would have gripped the industry .You get what you pay for .If u keep cutting costs to crazy levels than that is what output u get and that inlcudes but skills level and duration of projects .
