You think that scream gave you the chills? I saw them live without knowing what kind of music they did, and this was the first song, and when she screamed I nearly shat myself.
I saw them live too, on a festival. My wife and I were wondering around the different stages and we decided to stay in this one because the day was hot as hell. We then proceded to buy our respective beers and walked back to listen to this band. Everybody seemed to ignore the band at the beggining until she screamed and caught us all off guard. I almost let my beer slip out of my hands. Some people were laying around the field but inmediately got up and were cheering. Saddly their music is not all like this one and we were all a bit confused after the whole gig ended.
Woooow...she's got some Diamanda Galas in her, unafraid to abandon control to express...that was amazing. It was already an interesting and emotive piece of music...then she screamed... then turned that scream into a lyric and a musical-effect... Now it's a fucking Treasure...
Same here! I'm more of metalhead, but Chrysalis has something... I can't stop listening. Maybe 'cause her music is... "weird" (in good terms) and her singing and voice are amazing.
Love this girls talent and uniqueness. This is music with purpose, its art and it inspires other true artist. Her voice still gives me tingles. Innocence and then lets out this raw anger. FUCKING singer and woman. If I had a Record Label they would be the first band I would sign.
at first I thought wtf what kind of music is this and now I just keep coming back to it. I guess I never knew the definition of guilty pleasure until now.
Ciscandra is Fabulous. This Band is like a dream which humanity have been waiting for. My inner spirit have for too long time been silently screaming here within me and apart from Kate Bush no one has ever captured those screams except now that Ciscandra exists through this wonder of emotions named Nostalghia.
I saw them open for TV on the radio in la and they had one of the best live sets I have ever seen, so much passion and energy. I got to meet them after and they were all so so so very sweet.
Selina Ramos I first heard Nostalghia when they opened up for Serj Tankian and I think they opened with this song. I wad mildly intrigued and once I heard the scream I knew I was in love.
Such an incredible body of work. From the song, to the performance, to the cinematography, this is most definitely my favorite music video. I believe in you, you aren't just music, you are a movement. The world needs you.
What is good about it..sorry I don't know the culture there I am from India...I came across this song and It felt disturbing...but every one is liking it in the comments...I am very curious can you tell me something about it
@@economicslegal6989 well I guess over here in America pain and art are probably mildly different, with this song there’s pain in the story(if you’re into music in that way) and then music videos are usually just an art form for the song and this in my opinion is a wonderful example of it! Music is just an expression, it’s never wrong to not feel that same expressive vibe! I hope that kinda helped 😂
If you haven't seen this band live, won't be easy to like them, saw them yesterday when they opened up for 30 Seconds to Mars, and GOSH they won the world.
Nostalghia is setting a new standard, their eclectic artisanship is unparalleled in the Music Industry today. Only fitting to usher in The Age of Aquarius, with a new paradigm for sound.
Cool for chaos is a shockingly beautiful juxtaposition. It lures you in with a romantic haunting coo and then disorients your core in the best possible way. Absolutely one of my favorite bands. Nostalghia hits a nerve that you don't realize you have, then once it's plucked... it's like this sweet sweet string in your soul that needs to resound as often as possible. Their albums I Am Robot, Hear Me Glitch and Cool For Chaos EP are worth every penny, then then millions more!
Wow, again and again, THEY ARE SO BRILLIANT, I NEED MY DARK SUNGLASSES TO LISTEN TO THEM!!!! The best LA Band with a most amazing song and video!!!! I love this guys, can listen to them 24 hrs a day!!!! Ciscandra and Roy, please give us more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!M (and more)
We need some Nostalghia in Chicago! I *love* this song... even the rehearsal video of "Cool for Chaos" is badass! "I Am Robot, Hear Me Glitch" is another gem! Can't wait to see them live!!! :)
I heard Nostalghia is playing on the 31st. i am sooooooooooo there. everytime I see the band live I get chills. the best band in la. no doubt. and one of the best bands of all time. she is so powerful live.
She reminded me a little a Bork, more of the instrumentals on the rest of the album and a little like Tori Amos here and there. My husband said they reminded him of Muse and I totally get that too, but unbelievably unique anyways.
One of my favorite videos of 2012. The art direction is suburb and the voice is-well, all I can say is that it perhaps soon should be LEGENDARY. Astounding talent in every respect. I've viewed this one probably 25 times now and I continue to get chills. It is powerful. It is mesmerizing. It is transcendental. Very good work! I expect this talent to be a major force in the future of alt. music...or quite possibly the FACE of 21st century music in general. It is deserving.
This video was done incredibly well, utterly captivating! For God's sake man, she seamlessly drops to dust! Watching this tight knit group perform live, the passion they put into their craft is palpable, I believe that woman could transubstantiate to dust! Nostalghlia forces me into a kind of emotional tranquility previously unknown, then rushing to a state of catharsis. Their unique visionary style induces a different dream scape with every song.
This is such an amazing piece of work. I am a huge fan of Nostalghia. I have seen you live nearly everytime you have played, and you blow my mind. Gorgeous video.
You think that scream gave you the chills? I saw them live without knowing what kind of music they did, and this was the first song, and when she screamed I nearly shat myself.
😂😂😂😂😂
omg perfect!
Your so lucky.... Wish I could see them live!
Saddly their music is not all like this one and we were all a bit confused after the whole gig ended.
Same. It was a great performance and I didn't see the scream coming. Pleasantly surprised.
That scream is insane ..
Yeap.. hooked me
I saw them open for Crosses and I have to say, not knowing it was coming freaked me out. Sounds so much better live, sends chills through you.
Woooow...she's got some Diamanda Galas in her, unafraid to abandon control to express...that was amazing.
It was already an interesting and emotive piece of music...then she screamed...
then turned that scream into a lyric and a musical-effect...
Now it's a fucking Treasure...
Oh my God, this is perfect autumn music. That scream!
These guys are so underrated! Not even my genre of music but I bought this album and love every song in it.
Same for me, all songs are different. That a thing I liike with Bjork, NIN and Igorrr (and his projects) as well.
Same here! I'm more of metalhead, but Chrysalis has something... I can't stop listening. Maybe 'cause her music is... "weird" (in good terms) and her singing and voice are amazing.

Logan Arnold I know this is the kind of music you can truthfuly call music. The art and purpose.
at first I thought wtf what kind of music is this and now I just keep coming back to it. I guess I never knew the definition of guilty pleasure until now.

I have listened to this on repeat for almost 2 hours. No regrets.
One of the best bands, real music, deep and meaningful ❤
A real masterpiece... Intense, evocative... beautifully creepy. Give us more Nostalghia
great song. haunting vocals.
I adore her style and voice!
I saw them open for TV on the radio in la and they had one of the best live sets I have ever seen, so much passion and energy. I got to meet them after and they were all so so so very sweet.
Heard this for the first time like two days ago and i jumped so hard at the scream i nearly pissed myself.. LOVE IT
Selina Ramos I first heard Nostalghia when they opened up for Serj Tankian and I think they opened with this song. I wad mildly intrigued and once I heard the scream I knew I was in love.
What genre is this!!? Why is it so disturbing and what are you guys enjoying..am sorry I don't know but I am curious
That scream is both haunting and mesmerizing!
I just found this & im 100% hooked already. ... full blown junkie. I wish I had found it sooner

That scream gives me chills
Honestly I can't get enough! There have been several times I have fallen asleep to the album. I look forward to more videos & new music!

The most incredible song and piece of art I have ever seen.

You are one the most talented soul of this era
I just found nostalghia a few months ago through seven lions. She's on all my playlists now
Such an incredible body of work. From the song, to the performance, to the cinematography, this is most definitely my favorite music video. I believe in you, you aren't just music, you are a movement. The world needs you.
damn she is so fucking crazy, and the visual art is just amazing, the music is so melancolic, i really like this art
I'm so speechless that was one of the best songs ever then the video was absolutely beautiful
What is good about it..sorry I don't know the culture there I am from India...I came across this song and It felt disturbing...but every one is liking it in the comments...I am very curious can you tell me something about it

I am so in love with this music! It is so inspiring and perfect in it's very own way. I'm so grateful I discovered it.
This takes me so far back. Gave me chills hearing it again for the first time in a few years. Brilliant stuff.
I adore this woman... absolutely immaculate
Just beautiful.
If you haven't seen this band live, won't be easy to like them, saw them yesterday when they opened up for 30 Seconds to Mars, and GOSH they won the world.
The song is so hunting my bones chills😱😱
Seeing this live was absolutely something else.
Are you cool with chaos? YEEEEAAAHHHH!!!
omg I finally found this gem again after years of searching :D
i can't stop plying it ... your band is a discovery for rock music
She is stunning. And this song is my favorite song, ever. I want this played at my wedding. When you are famous & I'm rich, we'll make it happen.
I love her style in music. And honestly, she's scaring me more than any horror movie I've ever watched
Nostalghia is setting a new standard, their eclectic artisanship is unparalleled in the Music Industry today. Only fitting to usher in The Age of Aquarius, with a new paradigm for sound.
This still slaps just as much as it did when it came out tbh
And I'm positively entranced by her.
One of my favorite bands, and one of my favorite songs. This video is amazing!
She's simply the coolest creature ever!
Blows me away everytime I watch. This is wayyyy better live, which is crazy, i know, but, seriously, it is.
I can't believe it's 10 years ... still so in love with this gothictronica Masterpiece
Brilliant and soooo beautiful
I just think this video is gorgeous!!! I love Nostalghia and their music!!!
Ciscandra is the most beautyfull creature in this world.
favorite band of all time in the history of everything.

I fully agree "it's like this sweet sweet string in your soul that needs to resound as often as possible." :)

I heard Nostalghia is playing on the 31st. i am sooooooooooo there. everytime I see the band live I get chills. the best band in la. no doubt. and one of the best bands of all time. she is so powerful live.
I like your style. Reminds me of Bjork in a sense that you are very eccentric and have a unique vocal style.
Interesting! She's so unique that it's hard to link her to others, but for me she's more of a blend of Kate Bush and Lana Del Rey.
She reminded me a little a Bork, more of the instrumentals on the rest of the album and a little like Tori Amos here and there. My husband said they reminded him of Muse and I totally get that too, but unbelievably unique anyways.
love the lyrics and the remote control going on in the video but my favorite part is the scream.....
Woah. Haunting, Great vid
this is intense!
Inspiring its so dark and beautiful

This always comforts me in difficult times. Every time I hear this song it gives me strength to keep going.
This is my all time favorite Nostalghia song. Well done devotchka.

This was dark, somewhat morbid and that's what made it simply beautiful to me. I love it. :)
This is fascinating. An incredible piece of music, performance, and visuals.
This is such an amazing piece of work. I am a huge fan of Nostalghia. I have seen you live nearly everytime you have played, and you blow my mind. Gorgeous video.
