This kind of preaching take me waaaaay back. When men of God, spoke what God said unapologetic. When the man of God spoke it wasn't going to be " God getting ready to give you a new car, or run around the church three times put a $50 bill on the table and God said name it and claim it, cause He got a blessing for you, and it's got your name on it ". No it was come out of sin and leave sin alone. God said we must live by every word that proceed out of the mouth of God. It got so strict until all the disciples left but Peter. Jesus didn't change the message because they all left , but said to Peter "will you go also? Peter said no. Elijah thought he was the only one living for God. God told him He had 7,000 that had not bowed a knee to Baal. So God have people that love him, and is a lover of His Word, and just like Peter.
God's anointing is tight, because it destroy eack and every yoke; that bindeth the heart, body, mind and soul. ISAIAH 10:27.... Are we supposed to follow the teachings of the apostles? Acts 2:42, They continued steadfastly in the apostle's doctrines. Ephesians 2:20, We are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone. Don't get Titus 3:5 mixed up with James 2:14-26, about WORKS. One is a WORK of your OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS OR GOOD DEEDS and the other is a WORK OF FAITH, Obedience to God's command.
