- The always hilarious Chelsea Handler dished to Ellen about her connection with the British royals, and if she's even meant to be in a relationship at all.
I really like how this turned into more of a conversation and discussion between Ellen and Chelsea rather than a typical celeb interview with shallow questions. I also love how Chelsea made a really good point about the fact that maybe relationships aren't for everyone, not in the sense of just date / sleep around but in that it's ok to be alone too.
That's so true, never settle for anything less than you deserve.
I wish I could lie as flawlessly as Chelsea.

I don't know why our society is so obsessed about people having to find a partner or whatever. If you want to do so, fine just go ahead and live your life according to your choices. Not everyone should make the same choices & we should not find petty excuses like "oh it's because you have not met the right one yet" for those who choose to live on their own..is it that hard to understand that some people really are not that interested in these romantic relationship or marriage thing?
Well these are our own prejudices that we need to overcome.. we need to work on ourselves in order to change and expand our perception of life and not wait for a childless unmarried celebrity that you admire & validate more than Chelsea for it to become more acceptable. The marriage & child bearing thing is such a deeply conditioned phenomenon in our psych that not many people are willing to question it..we just blindly do these things which is why I for one am not surprised of the pitiful & cruel state of our world. We are just passing our conditioning, blind beliefs & utter ignorance from generation to generation & unfortunately it is not slowing down.
I totally understand what you're saying about seeing life through the filter of our own experiences. The problem lies within this whole society. For example education for us is just based on being able to find work one day, so education mostly helps us to earn money. Just imagine if education was centered on the individual, on the human being..helping us understand our emotions, work on them & overcome them, teaching us about our true self, the purpose of life, why we are really here etc. But this will not never happen if the majority does not question anything and just goes on living like everyone always has..just bringing about huge technological & material changes is not what make us civilised or intelligent.
Mating, child bearing is an instinctual thing & instinct is something to be transcended if we want to go higher on the evolution ladder.
Civil marriage is quite a recent thing and I can tell u that signing a contract goes against the very nature of our soul. I don't know for others but I don't consider myself as an object or the private property of anyone to go & sign a contract..and it goes the other way as well..no one belongs to me. Signing a contract with another human being sends a mental & emotional message to our subconscious mind.. that we own that person. That's why some people kill their spouses if they want a divorce or is seeing some else.
Marriage is the best way to raise children? Really? Then we should have so many mentally, emotionally & spiritually healthy individuals walking the surface of this earth. Then why are there so many wars, so much corruption, so much sexual assault, so much mental verbal abuse, so much inequality, so much harm being caused to this planet..these things are caused by us humans, aren't they? Most of us have been raised in marriages, then what's the problem? The problem is simply our low level of consciousness..when you get 2 unconscious people getting married, you cannot expect anything great to come out of it..those who can objectively observe people/society will definitely see it.

I watch ellen all the time love her! But i have to say this is by far the best interview ive seen on the show! Not often ellen talks real but i feel like she really did here. By real i I dont mean anything negative i just mean the shows a bit fluffy, which theres nothing wrong with that its a day time tv targeted at moms, it doesnt make sence to talk about independent single women haah awesome job i hope i didnt dig myself a hole!
