i’m disappointed that Jason doesn’t accurately understand the crucifixion week. i had been hoping that The Chosen would soon be depicting the crucifixion week more accurately than do both Catholicism and Protestantism, and much of my hope fell upon this man to help guide Dallas and the writing team into the truth of our Lord’s sacrifice as our Passover Lamb at the actual time of Passover that week. however, those hopes have now been dashed, but no worries, i love the show, and most importantly it is serving to spread the gospel message of the risen Messiah and His coming kingdom! 🙏🏼😎❤
it seems Jason somehow misses not only the 3 days & 3 nights phrase as specifically referring to three 24 hour days being the only sign He gave (not counting partial days), but also the second witness: that Christ had to be crucified during the preparation day in which the Passover was killed, which took place during the 14th day of the first month (“Passover” is not a “day”, but rather an event). this preparation day was not a friday, although *every* friday is a preparation day for the weekly Sabbath.
this special preparation day was for the First Day of Unleavened Bread, which is the first annual Sabbath of God’s sacred year and always falls upon the 15th of God’s first month. therefore, the “Sabbath” spoken of before which they had to put Christ’s body into the new tomb is this first annual Sabbath, *not* the weekly Sabbath.
Christ was crucified on wednesday, put into the new tomb prior to the end of that sunset, and rose during the sunset which ended the weekly Sabbath totaling 3 days and 3 nights, which then began the Day of Firstfruits (not “easter”) upon which He later rose to the Father and entered the spiritual holiest of holies as our High Priest and King.
under the old covenant and Levitical priesthood, the high priest entered the holiest of holies within the physical temple (a heavenly copy) only one time each year during the Day of Atonement; Jesus/Yahshua entered the heavenly throne room on the Day of Firstfruits after having qualified as our Passover Lamb who washes away the sins of all who would repent and follow Him.
it appears Jason has fallen into the same misunderstanding as mainstream Christian scholars who ignore the first annual Sabbath as being the day directly after the Passover is sacrificed, and who ignore the literal 3 days *and* 3 nights sign of Jonah which Messiah gave.
regardless, there’s no wisdom exemplified in getting all upset or angry about these things. mainstream Christianity has been confusing the scriptures for nearly two thousand years, and Judaism in its various forms for at least many centuries prior. these are all manmade religions and therefore cannot have all truth for we all only see in part. such is why we are supposed to sharpen iron together in the spirit of love. Godbless…

This does not satisfy three days and three nights; I also question the use of the Gregorian calendar that Monday through Sunday didn’t apply. Yeshua said He was be in the belly of the earth 3 days and 3 nights. He also asked His disciples if there wasn’t 12 hours in a day.

This is an interesting idea - fulfilling both the Sadducees’ and Pharisees’ expectations for First-fruits. What year would’ve had Passover lining up like that? I know of a scholar who thinks Yesu died on Thursday in the year 30. But it’s true (I think) that what day isn’t the most important thing. Still… what year(s) could fit for what you have thought out?

It seems you are advocating that part of a day counts as a whole day. So if He died on Friday and rose early Sunday you have 3 days. Friday and Sunday both partial days. Friday, Saturday and Sunday are the three days, yet I only count two nights. Friday and Saturday night ?? How does that fit " so will the Son of Man be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights." ? It would make more sense to me that Yeshua our Passover Lamb died at Passover on Wednesday at Passover and rose again on the 1st day if the week early Saturdays night. Thus fulfilling scripture.

I answered him correctly that even though he's using a pagan name of Friday instead of calling it the 6th day it indeed does begin at evening (sundown) on what you Gentiles call Thursday. in closing, I hope you understand now that @Richard Howe was not asking when the 7th day Sabbath begins, but when the 6th day begins.

Passover is the 14th day at evening meaning the start of the 15th day. This is proven with other scriptures
    3rd
It is impossible for Passover to end at any evening, because it is a evening to morning event

When Mary spoke to Jesus, he told her not to touch him because he hadn't ascended to heaven. Yet later he appeared to his disciples and let them touch his wounds. Jesus was the wave sheaf offering. Sometime between his appearance to Mary and his appearance to the disciples, he presented himself to God. This means he could have been in the grave 3 days and 3 nights and rose at sundown on the sabbath.

As far as Revelation Chapter 1 - 3 is speaking to the 7 Churches. The. Church you referred to in Chapter 2: 17 is to the Church of Pergamum in the place of where Satan is enthroned. They didn't give up faith when Antipas was unalived, in their own town, where Satan lives. Some are followers of Balaam, who taught Balak to set a trap for the Israelites, some excepting what the Nicolaitions teach. YOU MUST REPENT... That is the first message, before their blessing and reward.

The gentleman here seems to have fallen into a Catholic/christian thought process here. While I agree people shouldn't get so wound up that they can't talk about the significance of Passover, the scripture still stands three days and three nights. No matter how someone tries to justify a Friday evening Passover for the year Yeshua was crucified they cant get three days and three nights.
On the Shabbat the three days and three nights were complete.
Yes Yeshua was raised on the weekly Shabbat and the following day was Firstfruits and the beginning of the counting of the omer. The weekly Shabbat and Firstfruits are in fact two different days. He seems to be confused on the difference between the two days.
Regardless of what people want to say about it. Its important that people are returning to the feast of YeHoVah. One day he will write the Torah on our hearts and we will know Him perfectly. There wont be room for any variance in the body of believers.

Insanity! If Yeshua was crucified and died on Friday afternoon you count the daylight of Friday afternoon as a day then you got one day. At sundown Friday till sunrise Saturday you then can chalk up one night in the tomb so that makes brings the tally to 1day/1night. Saturday day till sundown would give you another day so the tally is 2days/1night. Saturday night sundown you can add a second night no matter how long He stayed in the tomb after sundown till he resurrected, and that brings the tally to 2days/2nights. Yeshua didn't cheat the sign of Yonah. Why are you trying to nullify the fulfillment of the prophecy given by Yeshua about the only sign given being 3 days and 3 nights?

Yeshua wouldn't cheat his own prophecy by one day and one night given He prophesied it would be the only sign given. If He died on the cross on a Thursday afternoon then you can count that as 1 day and from sundown Thursday to sunrise Friday as 1 night. Then the additional 2 days of Friday and Saturday and the 2 nights of Friday and Saturday would fulfill the 3days/3nights.
All this stuff about Yeshua having to die on Friday to fulfill something about Adam and Eve sinning on the 6th day of the week doesn't make sense because nowhere in Scripture does it say that Adam and Eve sinned on the 6th day of the week.
My question is why is Sobel going to such great lengths to nullify Yeshua's prophecy of Matthew 12:40 about the only sign that would be given to the wicked and adulterous generation would be that He'd be in the belly of the earth 3 days and 3 nights.

    • @pamelacstapleton
      @pamelacstapleton Рік тому

Andrew! There are MANY scriptures that say He will die and rise WITHIN 3 days There is only 1 scripture that says like Jonah - 3 days and 3 nights! In that scripture he says "in the heart of the earth"! He did not say in the grave! This saying means He would be in the grip of carnal MAN and be killed without His Father turned towards Him!!
So Thursday night - 😂He was put in prison and beaten almost to death - then made to carry his wooden cross beam on Friday morning for a 9am crucifixion! He died before Sundown at 3pm and rushed to the grave! So Thursday night (taken prisoner, given trial and condemned beaten with 39 stripes), Friday morning hung on cross! Died at 3pm - Friday night in grave, Saturday Night in grave = 3 nights and 3 days in the "heart of the earth" - or in the earthly dominion (heart) of ruthless mankind to be killed! (Yeshua cried out Abba why have you forsaken me?) He was in the "heart of the earth" - the hands of mankind in the earth dominion, it does NOT say "in the grave" like all the other scriptures! Make sense?

So it would be Thursday evening (1 night), Friday morning (1 day) Friday Evening (2 night) Saturday morning (2 day) Saturday evening (3 night) Sunday morning (3 day). Have you bought a vacation package and they say you will stay three nights and three days. What day will you leave it will be the third day because they count the first night the day you arrive as your first stay. It is the same way as Yeshua who was in the belly of the earth for three days and three nights.

I do not watch The Chosen (A Mormon production, with a catholic Jesus & evangelical of health wealth doctrine involvement/apostolic)!...
Good Friday is a catholic/church holiday (anything Catholic makes me wary lol)! not a biblical one, the bible does tell us the days Yeshua died & when He was resurrected.
The bible does not make mistakes.
The Passover feast & the feat of unleavened bread gives us what we need to remember... the important day is Resurrection Day ...
A day starts at sunset the night before & ends at Sunset the next day (sunset Saturday is close of the Sabbath & the start of the week ie: Sunday)!
Yeshua was exactly three days & three nights in the belly of the earth, this is important, why because the Bible doesn't tell fairy tales, it tells exactly as it is "The Truth". Jonah is the prophetic.
So when Jonah was swallowed by the big fish, he died, when the fish spewed him out, he was alive (resurrected), so as The Son of Man, Yeshua.
Tuesday Yeshua held a Last Supper with His disciples, before Wednesday which was a fast day & preparation for Passover Meal.
Tuesday night which in is actually considered Wednesday according to the bible, Yeshua was arrested, that morning Yeshua was put on trial, that afternoon, Yeshua was crucified, at exactly the same time the passover lambs were being slaughtered for passover 3pm... before sunset Yeshua was put in the grave.
The next day Thursday was a high sabbath so the woman could not gather the burial spices & oil.
Friday the woman were able to gather what they needed (this took time), so at the end of Friday at sunset (Saturday now) was the start of regular Sabbath, so the woman had to wait for Sunday, which started Saturday at sunset,
Between sunset on Saturday & sunday morning Yeshua was resurrected.... on a Sunday!
    Three days, three nights
    day one Thursday
    day two Friday &
day three Saturday (Sabbath/day of rest)
Sunday - The day of Resurrection sometime between sunset Saturday & sunrise Sunday!
The bible tells us very clearly the timeline of the crucifixion & the Resurrection....
3pm on the day before Passover, preparation day for Passover... Wednesday crucified
Sunday sometime after the close of The Sabbath day, He was resurrected!
Just as the Book of Jonah said He would be.
No Good Friday... which are Roman Catholic & high Anglican tradition ie: church traditions
The importance of the Cross is not about re crucifying Yeshua over & over again... the importance is about The Blood of Yeshua.. which is part of Passover... because unlike what some teach about death, the bible teaches that LIFE is in The Blood, not death, meaning that now the Blood of Yeshua is on the doorpost of our hearts, once one accepts Yeshua in, death passes over us, we now have hope of The Resurrection... through His Blood.

A last super was usually had before a fast day, as is still today, Yeshua run through a rehearsal with His disciples of how to do the seder in light of Him.
A rabbi would usually use this time to prepare & teach his disciple about a holy high days ect...
Ps: Really enjoyed the rest of the teaching...

I believe he went down on Thursday. The scriptures don’t lie, man does. I believe it was misinterpreted because of lack of understanding about when the day starts (evening and the morning was the first day). With that being said. Jonah in belly 3 days 3 nights so will the son of man. No scriptures lie. Ppl misunderstand. The word says study to show thyself approved. Saints, I respectfully disagree with Friday. It had to be Thursday or the 5th day of the week for some believers. 🙏🏽

Sp when did God convert to the pagan Roman calendar? God's days are not the same as the Roman days. Very important! Next I'm pretty sure God does not use a Manmade contrivance of time . I don't like using the pagan days to explain the scriptures. Go back to the Greek scriptures and you will find the word sabbaths and weeks have been deliberately stripped from our Bibles. Without those words we get an imposter and cannot identify the true Jesus. There were two sabbaths and two Preparation days when Jesus was sacrificed. Jesus was resurrected on a day known as One of Sabbaths; day one of the fifty day count to Pentecost aJnd that event was exactly three nights and three days after burial was completed at sundown at the first moment of Unleavened Bread when the stone dropped into place. Jesus was buried at sundown and resurrected at sundown immediately following the weekly sabbath. Jesus was fulfilling His Father's appointed times all in perfect order and to the smallest detail. The first day of the week is not one of God's appointed times but God tells us to count the days to Pentecost. "On the first day of the week " takes the glory of the Father away from Him and gives His glory to Sunday; Sun worship day. There is a very special word in Mt.28:1 produced epiphosko epi = on, over and above. Phos = light. Epiphosko is never used by ancient Greek writers and it appears two times in the Greek New Testament marking the exact moment the burial was completed and the exact moment of the resurrection 72hrs apart. Jesus was buried on the 15th of Nissan, a full moon day where at sundown the Sun just dropped below the horizon in the West and the Moon would be at the horizon in the East. Three nights and three days later at sundown when the sun was descending below the horizon in the West, the moon was not going to rise in the East for two and a half hours. So the source of light that was on, over, and above the resurrection was the glory of the Father. Remember when Jesus was being born and the Angels told the Sheppards there was a light that shown all around. Next go to Romans 6:4 " Jesus was raised by the Glory of the Father ". Mt.28:1 " Evening now the Sabbaths (ending) into the full on, over, and above lighting of the (event/day) one of (seven) sabbaths... Epiphosko is describing the light of this world and the glory of God. The Sun and the Moon have no part in the Glory on, over, and above the burial and resurrection of Jesus. In the Greek scriptures Mk. 16:2 , Lk. 24:1 ,Jn. 20:1 &19, Ac. 20:7, 1Co. 16:2 (Tr) all agree with Mt.28:1 that Jesus was resurrected on a day known as One of Sabbaths, not on the first day of the week. The resurrection did not take place on any part of Sunday. The word Sabbaths are in the Greek New Testament 26 times yet almost never translated in the plural. Smell the deception?
