This mod is legit perfect. It keeps the ddlc aspect with monika being bat shit crazy and all. But it also adds like 80 types of new shit which is insane.
Kudos to this mod for being one of the best wholesome mods for ddlc despite the dark stuff in it. Sayoris death was really rough to handle for the first time and seeing her and all the others pull thru made my day
One of the most well executed mods I've ever seen. Voice acting, transitions, and the music make this mod all come together and not to mention monika's creepiness throughout this mod. Keep up the great work kanemonger and enjoy the mod!
Not very fun fact: Sayori, judging by the original game, would not have died instantly if she hung herself. In the original game, you can see her shirt partially undone at the top and her hands bloody. That means that she sat there in the noose, questioned her decision, decided to try and escape, struggled to get out, while slowly suffocating to death. Poor girl. I have never felt so bad for a fictional character before...
Not only that. In act 2 there’s a rare occurrence in which your screen is painted in red with veins pulsating in the corners, and then the screen starts fading into darkness. This is clearly a first person view of Sayori in her final moments. I believe one of Monika’s dialogues in act 3 includes her saying she does regret sayori not dying instantly. Personally I don’t think she questioned her decision and tried to escape, but rather her survival instincts kicked in, since no matter how fixated you are in killing yourself your survival instincts as a human will always try and prevent it

This almost had me crying, not because of how I feel about the character but because I know a lot of people that have struggles with suicide and so it's very easy to place myself in the shoes of the player here.
My boyfriend struggles with suicidal thoughts.. I help him as best I can but he had recently had a thought kinda without me knowing, made me kinda go crazy and luckily with enough comfort and love it helped him, this isn’t the first time it has happened and I couldn’t relate to a story more then this.. suicide is scary..
Today i had to stop my girlfriend from commiting suicide and this hits different now. When you're watching this it's so easy to think that in the MC's position, you would know exactly what to say to cheer her back up. I can now say from experience, it's not like that at all. That had to be the most lost and helpless i've ever felt in my life. All i could do was tell her the first romantic babble that came to my head and hope that it works.
I'm sorry to hear about that experience. I didn't face such a situation yet but I can't imagine myself solving it without risking everything at the same time. I hope she's doing better now.

As someone with depression and who has suffered heartbreaks and loss I relate to Sayori a lot, shes my favorite character (I still love all the girls and Monika) so seeing this alt route/mod was really emotional for me. I don't think I've cried this hard in a while, maybe playing through the endwalker MSQ in ffxiv but hard to say. My head fucking hurts from SOBBING. Bravo to the creators of this. The line "I'm glad I got the chance to hold you to my chest again" hits home like you wouldn't believe. Thank you for making this.

This story really got to me. Especially the beginning scene with Sayori. I legitimately stopped the vid and had to take a break. It just, hit me in a way that most games often don't. The soundtrack especially really tied everything together with the visuals. (Which if anyone can tell me what the songs/music used in this were, I'd be very grateful). Overall, this is a really good mod.

I find it funny regarding their poems, while Natsuki, Yuri, and Sayori’s poems have something to do with love or something positive, Monika’s is about an existential crisis

Can you imagine preventing her death in the vanilla DDLC and Act 2 winds up going in a different direction of apeshit because Sayori still being alive contradicted Act 2's narrative of her not even being part of the game at all.
6:42 Fun fact. This line was in the demo where this scene happened in the day(where it would make sense for mc to be at the festival) but I think this line was over looked when they changed things for the full game, so sayori still says mc should have been at the festival when it’s the middle of the fucking night.
I think it would be awesome if they let you play around with the files more, and if you somehow keep Sayori’s file something like the scenario happens, where it’s still super creepy and disturbing, but everyone is okay and happy.
I was working on a script for my own ddlc mod, but after I started watching this. I realized it shared a few key similarities and folks might think I copied this guy's mod if I were to ever make it. It's a good thing I found it when I did. I was about to start working on the coding this weekend.
Part of me is wondering who's messing with Monika the way she messed everyone up in the normal game? Because obviously someone is tampering with *her* code and making her more evil. I'm partly banking on Yuri being the one to be getting vengeance on her while making sure everyone else is good.
I really like how you get to see the girls problems in what here would be act 1, and it's also interesting how Monika is acting more like when she is in act 2, making this sort of a act 1.5
I wouldn’t say this Monika is similar to act 2 Monika. Act 2 Monika is subtly manipulative, desperate to communicate with the player and from time to time she just tells us some stuff about the girls (or straight up has them say it themselves). Here monika is just reduced to a straight up bully, and nothing else. It feels completely out of character
Fun fact: Monika at the end of the game, will understand that what she has done was wrong, that she killed her dear friends (yeah she loves Yuri, nastuki and sayori) and so she even after you delete her you can play the game, without her as the leader but sayorias the leader, and when satori will try to do the same thing as monika, Monika will stop her, saying "guess there's no happiness here, I'm sorry)"(or something like that)
I saw that scene today and I decided to stop playing the game right there. It was literally shit like why did she have to die. I was about to cry especially bc of those bloody hands. She most likely changed her mind last minute and thought: Wait what am I doing? Mc and I are gonna have our first date tomorrow and he loves me! It was just too sad for me. The fact that saving Sayori thing almost made me cry for some reason. Maybe I just have a huge heart with people and their best friends? And it’s a heart breaking thing for a best friend to kill themself or die by someone.
This. Sayori is literally me today as she has been my whole life. But she seems to always be in my presence of today with others. But it's hard to cover it up. I try to speak with the protagonists way to talk and it does seem to help others. This beginning is just too relatable
Soon, 6 years. 6 years since this mod has been out. 4 since this cideo was uploaded. It is stull now, and probably for a long time, the most ciewed video from this channel, and by a long marge, 3 times more than the one with motherfucking sans undertale. This mod is special in so many ways. Firstly, it is one of the most important mod of ddlc, one of the biggest faces in its genre. Then, it is just beautifully written, absolutely incredible. With lot of times to go into each character, all very well represented. And last, for me. It was the first mod I ever seen. I just fell in love with it. Fun fact, at the start (looong ago) I was in the Natsuki side, because the youtuber I watched went for her and I was unable to have my own opinions. So, as you already guessed, I went full on Sayori best girl. But not just I love Sayori, no I LOVE Sayori, I can't express how much. But anyway, all of this to say, Salvation is incredible, I will update if the remake goes even beyond, but for now at least, it is still my favorite mod. With time, I saw a lot of others mod, all also beautiful like blue skies, exit music, 12 hours to live. The last one especially, made me think which was my favorite, and after rewatching those two, I can confidently say Salvation wins by a long shot. I love it, I love Sayori, and I love you who just watched me shouting my love for some reason.
Honestly I’d give it a 6/10, I love the saving and dating sayori thing, but Monika being a straight up bully is just.. not it, you know? Ruins the whole sidestories and doesn’t fit her character, not even her act 2/3 character
Depends on how it’s performed. In Sayori’s case, she’s just using a chair and the drop down is short. She will painfully suffocate and be in great agony. Although when a person hangs from a taller height, they can break their neck and die pretty quick that way.

Can you imagine preventing her death in the vanilla DDLC and Act 2 winds up going in a different direction of apeshit because Sayori still being alive contradicted Act 2's narrative of her not even being part of the game at all.

6:42 Fun fact. This line was in the demo where this scene happened in the day(where it would make sense for mc to be at the festival) but I think this line was over looked when they changed things for the full game, so sayori still says mc should have been at the festival when it’s the middle of the fucking night.
I think it would be awesome if they let you play around with the files more, and if you somehow keep Sayori’s file something like the scenario happens, where it’s still super creepy and disturbing, but everyone is okay and happy.
I was working on a script for my own ddlc mod, but after I started watching this. I realized it shared a few key similarities and folks might think I copied this guy's mod if I were to ever make it.
It's a good thing I found it when I did. I was about to start working on the coding this weekend.

I really like how you get to see the girls problems in what here would be act 1, and it's also interesting how Monika is acting more like when she is in act 2, making this sort of a act 1.5
I wouldn’t say this Monika is similar to act 2 Monika. Act 2 Monika is subtly manipulative, desperate to communicate with the player and from time to time she just tells us some stuff about the girls (or straight up has them say it themselves). Here monika is just reduced to a straight up bully, and nothing else. It feels completely out of character

I saw that scene today and I decided to stop playing the game right there. It was literally shit like why did she have to die. I was about to cry especially bc of those bloody hands. She most likely changed her mind last minute and thought: Wait what am I doing? Mc and I are gonna have our first date tomorrow and he loves me! It was just too sad for me. Her depression was a different kind too. She thought that no one needs to care about her and stuff. Dammit bro I just need someone to talk to with this. I still wonder her last thoughts. This. Sayori is literally me today as she has been my whole life. But she seems to always be in my presence of today with others. But it's hard to cover it up. I try to speak with the protagonists way to talk and it does seem to help others. This beginning is just too relatable

6 years since this mod has been out.
4 since this cideo was uploaded.
It is stull now, and probably for a long time, the most ciewed video from this channel, and by a long marge, 3 times more than the one with motherfucking sans undertale.
This mod is special in so many ways.
Firstly, it is one of the most important mod of ddlc, one of the biggest faces in its genre.
Then, it is just beautifully written, absolutely incredible. With lot of times to go into each character, all very well represented.
And last, for me. It was the first mod I ever seen. I just fell in love with it. Fun fact, at the start (looong ago) I was in the Natsuki side, because the youtuber I watched went for her and I was unable to have my own opinions. So, as you already guessed, I went full on Sayori best girl.
But not just I love Sayori, no I LOVE Sayori, I can't express how much.
But anyway, all of this to say, Salvation is incredible, I will update if the remake goes even beyond, but for now at least, it is still my favorite mod.
With time, I saw a lot of others mod, all also beautiful like blue skies, exit music, 12 hours to live. The last one especially, made me think which was my favorite, and after rewatching those two, I can confidently say Salvation wins by a long shot.
I love it, I love Sayori, and I love you who just watched me shouting my love for some reason.
This mod is so well written! I really feel like everyone is against Monika and realizing the monster she is.

You definitely don’t instantly die while hanging. She would be able to be saved if you got there in time and act fast.
Depends on how it’s performed. In Sayori’s case, she’s just using a chair and the drop down is short. She will painfully suffocate and be in great agony. Although when a person hangs from a taller height, they can break their neck and die pretty quick that way.

Anyhow, wanted to reassure that Yeah, There's cero way Sayori would've died, Althought with such little height and she being quite small, She wouldn't suffocate nearly as badly, At least for a good half minute... If MC Just reacts even remotely quickly you can hold her and dismount Her, Just leaving a bad rope burn afterwards... When you're hanging from something, yoinking someone off there is not as Hard as it looks like
