- Today we explore one of Hearthstone’s unsolved mystery achievements added to the game recently by Celestalon that sees the Labyrinth card back hidden behind four mysterious achievements. We go over how to complete three of them and how the final achievement’s entrance has been found, but it’s solution has to be figured out.

These puzzles were always so ridiculous. The key is probably uninstall the game, return exactly 46 hours later, then reinstall the client while slurping a margarita in Alaska

What we do know about the last puzzle so far is the attack value increase isn't completely random. One minion is +1 attack, one is +2 attack, etc. up to +14 attack. This does give minions a number 1-14 essentially. We have not found a pattern to the numbers or how they move when an attack is made.
I think alignment of the 7 minions / ordering is the most crucial here, before making the 1st attack.
If you mirror the alignment of the differences, that might work.
@@louisfriend9323 You can't move the minions other than to attack. The only available action is to use one of the bottom 7 minions to attack into one of the top 7 minions.
When you do attack, the board "resets" and all of the numbers are moved around. I think the puzzle is figuring out how each attack reorders the minions and use that to sort them in some way. As of yesterday no pattern was found, I haven't checked in today.
This is the first time I'm seeing this and I noticed this immediately. I'm assuming it's not as simple as +1 atk goes into +2 atk. But, that was the first thing that came to mind.
So the third is basically impossible unless you have a large friends list... thank you SO MUCH for that Blizzard.
My thoughts on the last one... has anyone tried to figure up the difference between the normal attack value and the buffed, then compare with opposing minions? Maybe a +1 attack minion into a +1 attack minion, then 2, 3, etc?

@@InternetGravedigger Not always, and the board switches around on every attack. Sometimes 1 and 14 are on the same side. We are assuming we need to figure out how the numbers move around so we can sort them in some way, but we don't yet understand how they move.
"What a long strange trip it's been" is the name of an achiv in Wow that you get once you complete ALL holyday achivs during the year.

"What a long strange trip it's been" is a reference to the fact that the entry deck has one card from every expansion in it. Just as in WoW its a reference to a collection of things that occur over a long period of time. In WoW its all of the holidays in a year, and in Hearthstone its all of the expansions over the games lifespan.

I did the 3 prior secret card backs. As soon as I saw this one not only brought back the awful dungeon crawler from a prior card back, but also required you to organize with 7 other people, I was done.
Not worth that much effort.
Last puzzle, the minions stats are dates, 14/3 is a date, probably match minion/expansion release date... "strange long trip" probably knowledge checking important hearthstone dates.
Every minion represents an expansion, probably just have to match the correct dates of release between upper row and down row
Damn you're right and it only goes up to 19 attack because months have 19 days 👀 (ok I found a minion with 21)
Perhaps the upper row is the date of announcement and the bottom row is date of release?

I have a problem. I created the deck, then went to play, selected wild mode, then selected the deck and clicked play. But I only get into a normal round and not into the puzzle. What have I done wrong?
answer to me looks like: if u attack this into that. instead of losing health it loses attack. and afther the attack it should give the correct value?
i bet the last one is something stupid like finding the 2 minions that have +attack to their original value by how many years ago they were released and then hitting them together or something like that
I thought Hearthstone’s unsolved mystery was how to properly monetize BGs.
This is probably one of the coolest videos I’ve ever done if horse don’t have way more of this. This would definitely boost my player interaction and I would come back every day to try to find things like this so thank you very much for pointing this out. I think this is probably one of the coolest things this game has ever done and I’ve been playing since day one thank you.
The deck code written as code is correct, but the one on Donkey is wrong (you can tell its wrong as it will actually try to find ladder game when you start wild). This happens almost every time, not just to Zeddy, appears there is something wrong when you copy things to Donkey.
remove any card with the core tag and replace them with their original expansion version...Elusive Drake is 1 of them...and i think doomed apprentice is another
With that third puzzle they might as well just say they don't want most people to complete it. As for the 4th puzzle it's probably something to do with expansions. Like matching minions from the same expansions or taking the minion from the first expansion and killing the minion from the second and going down the line in that order.
so the forth part blocks you from the mini game unless you did the rest. wasted a bunch of dust trying to mess around with the last part.
After the garbage with the BG part of the mystery puzzle I won't even be bothering to unlock it.
The only thing I can think of is look at all the minions and asking yourself something along the lines of "what would be the best trade to make" or maybe the opposite?
I was able to find the minigame but I have NEVER been able to solve it. if you don't solve it fast enough, the timer runs out and it resets the whole game.
The attack increase on the minions range from +1 to +14, so it's probably about rearranging the minions by order, but we can't figure out how to order them as the rearrangement pattern is complex.
the this or that puzzle is actually unsolvable, they sometimes show 2 cards from the same expansion lol

Well level 4 doesn’t matter to me because I’m never gonnna get to complete level 3 lmao. These mystery cards are way too involved and ridiculous for me to care enough for a mediocre card back.

Don't know the solution, but interesting thing is that attack are recorded as turn moves in the left part of game board. There should be some amount of attacks with some logic to solve it)

Looks fun and all, but I am not even able to complete 'This or That' because I did not play HS for all 10 years. If you fail one in the beginning, and then succeed all the following, you still fail in the end, so it does not seem to value my time very much.
Not to worry this will no doubt be a weekly quest!

The one thing that I have found consistent throughout all boards on the "What a long strange trip it's been" puzzle, is that each card has extra attack, but not extra health. If you subtract the original attack from each of the cards on the screen, there will be an order. Each time I did this, one card had 1 extra attack, one had 2 extra attack, one had 3 extra attack, one had 4 extra attack, etc...to the last one having 14 extra attack. So, there is clearly a 1-14 ranking for attack difference versus correct card stats. What I cant figure out is what to do with this ranking. There doesn't appear to be a logic to what numbers are on each side of the board. I tried attacking lowest into lowest, lowest into highest, highest into lowest, and highest into highest. Each time it reset. But since the 1-14 occurs every time, there must be something to that.
What are the other mystery card backs? Are they still achievable?
They are, but they're harder because some cards are no longer in the core set
I stopped trying to do these secret achievements after the rpg thing with the world map conveyed in like 3-5 cards.
These secrets are jus getting ridiculous
The guess which one is newer mini quest is garbage since they have Caverns of Time editions of cards in there that completely invalidate older set cards since Caverns of time is new. You then have to pixel peep at the editions behind the text to figure out which is the real version and which is the caverns of time version.
I love how hearthstone actually improve game experience every single update I hope they did the right thing just like how huge company like supercell did.
I am having a hard time with the second puzzler, can't name every card in the game off the top of my head. to many to remember. and the timer doesn't help.
Just to note that it does matter what is in the ETC list as mine wasn't working until I copied the one from the video.
Love all of these exclusionary challenges that require you to play game modes you may not want to play, or have intense knowledge of things nobody cares about, or even worse, the battlegrounds challenge...

To unlock it you have to beat the old boomsday lethal puzzles with the nerfed mechwarper (it's impossible now)

its so funny to me, how much HS struggles with all these higher up decisions and then there is such cool stuff iin the game like this thanks to the devs

All of the achievements that require your opponent to do something should not exist (copy 5 secrets for example, kill with oh my yogg), as it has nothing to do with your own skill or deck.
So we need 8 people to play BG in party or what?

Those mystery event should be light hearted and fun. Not stress and overly difficult especially the reward is just a card back
The biggest problem is you cant even get to the minigame cuz you have to have 7 fucking friends wich tbh no one has
Here is the puzzle I am facing... where is this game supposed to go when I'm getting turn 6 otk in the first expansion of the set? Is it just going to be more single card win conditions? I'm already sick of it and they want us to play MORE game of this utter garbage meta. Zillax is fundamentally broken, so is warrior, so is priest and demon hunter is close once again... I was so excited for reno decks, but I can't even make it to turn seven let alone eight. And to top it all off its practically the same meta it was before rotation just with a couple extra steps 1. play brann 2. play battlecry card to max damage ie tendril or alastor 3. If they have anything left boomblast double play with double shuffle.
what is this heartstone you are talking about? I stopped playing this expansion and moved on. Always completed the achievements, but this expansion was exasperating.

Card backs are the most worthless things in the game, they are not worth spending time on ridiculous puzzles.
It’s so sad that we have such amazing people working on HS only to have blizzard/microsoft shit all over their work in the name of trying to make money. Just another part of HS I’ll never see due to predatory monetization. Thanks guys.

While cool, putting this stuff into the game seems like a waste of developer hours. Maybe we'd have a reasonable quest system, if they weren't doing things like this.
To sync everything up some department usually have mential tasks while waiting for the material they need or greenlight to go on. These things are usually done on idle hours and usually don't require the same clearance as other major things in the game as it's just an obscure part that isn't noticed for the majority of players. Just needs an overlook and nod from the head of things.
