Back when you could get away with uploading an anime reaction that viewers could actually see and hear. ^-^ thanks for uploading this. Even if an old video its always fun to see someone reacting to Lain
Hey man, I found your channel because of your series on Lain. I just wanted to say: great reaction, I love the thought you put into this and listening to your analysis is quite entertaining. Great work.
Comments like this are what make me get up before my alarm goes off (Like right now) full of energy and excited to make more. Thank you, and I'm glad you're enjoying!
34:20 its hilarious, because he uses the digital device to connect to others, but is completely disconnected from Lain/the Real world so him not answering is just a great way of showing this contrast and irony between people trying to connect while being disconnected in reality
I'm just starting to watch this reaction and it seems great so far! The background noise from your recording also already reminds me of Lain, so that's great 😂
@@Teeaboo In one day? Did everything fit in your head? I remember finishing the show and immediately watching it again because it was so awesome and I wanted to understand some things better. I'll probably binge your reactions now, thanks for your videos!
Oh! Never knew you had watched this. Didn't know anyone had reacted to this, so I looked it up and you were the first thing that showed up. Neatoo Teeaboo.
29:19 The windows notification sound really caught me off guard, she opened up the email it was just perfect timing😂 I thought Chisa was calling you too.
Hey. You seem like a pretty chill anime lover. Hoping to watch some good reactions from you in the future. Keep up the good work! Looks like you have some classics in your archive here on youtube, like Gunnm, Shiki, and Evangelion. Good going! Also, some suggestions for thriller or psychological anime (you've probably seen some of these): Texhnolyze (as you mentioned; watch it), Darker than Black, Haibane Renmei, Jigoku Shoujo (a bit slow but has great moments, especially at the end of seasons), Gankutsuou, Zankyou no Terror, Psycho-Pass, Shinsekai Yori, Kaiba, Angel's Egg.
Great react. I found it interesting that you note everything you see in the episode, I don't know if I would be so willing to do this while watching. Serial Experiments Lain is among my favorites anime. I would recommend Legend of the Galatic heroes but its not for everyone, its very slow paced expecially in the first season, but would be very funny to see you trying to write down everything
@@rudidellama3718 Unfortunately at this point I was still recording w/ picture in picture + muxed audio tracks, so I can't really separate the footage. In the future I'll be doing things a bit more professionally, so that I have more editing options and you have a better chance of getting the videos without copyright shtuff.
@@rudidellama3718 Just realized you probably meant I tried to upload LOGH. So far I've done the two prologue movies, and eps 3+4 of the OVA. Are they blocked in your country? If so, let me know and I'll see what I can do.
I am so happy I found someone who watches series like Lain and also thinks when doing so ,many people overlook simple or not so simple series and miss things out and it is really refreshing to see someone who put thought because even in way more straghtforward series there is something to be found if you use your brain to look beyond what you see
what most people don't usually get in the first episode, but other relate very deeply to (and some people don't get it, but still relate very deeply to): Her room is the only cozy place in that world. It's dark and quiet. All over locations are noisy, uncomfortably bright and overwhelming She has derealization and dissociation events at school That is extremely well-made and subtle representation of day-to-day autistic experiences. I mean, if you deeply relate to first half of the first episode but can't really put your finger on why, there is a significant chance that you are autistic.
If you like SEL be sure to check out more of Chiaki Konaka's works he also wrote Texhnolyze. Also in the same year he worked on the first few episodes episodes of Hellsing he was producing Digimon Tamers (now I know why I was sometimes scared of the Series as a kid). He also wrote some books of the Cthulu Mythos Series. There just weren't that many producers, writers and studios for anime back in the 90s so staff that did good got grouped back together for work. 90s-2007 was were the most influencial shows for hollywood movies and today's anime were made
The Monster anime is by Madhouse and the author is Naoki Urasawa who's one of the most famous mangaka, it's definitely not hidden. But yes, it's excellent.
@king vsn The Monster anime is in the top 200 most popular and top 50 highest rated on MAL and the manga is in the top 50 most popular and top 5 highest rated. Anime outside of battle shounen are only just starting to breach the mainstream, so relative to other anime in its genre it is by no means hidden.

I never thought I'd get to watch Kurt Cobain react to one of my favorite anime.
Kekcellent

Don't worry about your air conditioner. The "annoying humming" are in truth the ambient sounds of the show XD
You really cracked me up at 2:40, your reactions are so joyful it’s infectious
This anime has aged so incredibly well. It's staggering how absolutely EVERYTHING holds up.
Just watched it a few weeks ago and blew me away, wish story was a little more conclusive at the end though, felt off to me.

Ok, no problem, I actually manage to convert the url to mp4, i don't if will work (i'm waiting the download to finish to check out)

I just love that foray over to MAL to discover this show was made by LEGENDS.
Trippy, eh? Nice reaction. This is also one of my preferred anime.

The dubs quite good aswell
I made my OBS key combination *Ctlr + Num_0* just so don't accidently ruin things for this exact reason.
Кирилл Бледный обозревает аниме,сильно же его история с домогательством подкосила.

Please can you react to Inuyasha , Mushshi, Black Lagoon, and Gundam Wing?
I LOVE U KURT 🤭
