Not to be a ruminating nostalgia-sick sap, but these were the days of GMM and Good Morning Chia Lincoln that I care for the most. All due congratulations to them for building an empire of continuous content, but if they cut their current staff in half and went back to Rhett reading weird articles to Link and having more of a hand in their production, I’d be a happy man. Innovation and growth must be done though, and they’ve welcomed in so many new mythical beasts. Really, I’m thankful they’re still producing content. The videos will always be there I guess.
@@picklet_ it used to be their show and now they're only presenters :'( i know ppl say ear biscuits is where the old-fashioned conversations are now but there's this middle ground of playing around and chatting that doesn't happen anymore, except just incidentally on gmmore every now and then. their friendship and senses of humour are what we all tune in for, not to see what some mediocre LA hacks have overwritten for them to read out and play. im probably being overly harsh to the mythical crew but i wish they'd just scale it back and retake creative control
They dont do the nasty crazy foods anymore, the wheel used to be showing in the episode at the end, it also used to be actually funny content and bits that they'd do. They also used to animate those bits and it was amazing. They used to try new games and challenges and now it seems like they just do the same things over again. Also if I remember right they used to have a day where they'd open mail sent by viewers. I'm not saying they arent still funny but they've definitely changed a crap ton. Their older videos will always be superior in my eyes. I miss their music too

To me its not that deep, I just dont watch the majority of them anymore so don't take me as hating or whatever but the first video I saw of them was called bug war I belive where they just played a simple card game and whoever lost had to eat the bug. Simple ideas like that were what kept me watching. Now its just throwing darts at a board, will it, and blind tasting stuff and the foods are completely normal sounding, there's not the pigs blood, the super spicy, the bugs, they don't do any of that anymore. The big thing that I miss though is the wheel of mythicality. They completely ruined that segment. Now its just shout outs and giveaways and boring. They used to do hilarious improv bits and its almost like they've gotten so big they gave up on anything original that they had, and I understand that the bigger you are the more you have to think about and more work you create but it just seems like they lost their creative spark that made the show top notch. Now its just a kind of okay show that I use for background noise

I agree 100%. I still enjoy the newer episodes that are games, but I skip the ones that’s just straight up them eating food. The personal touch is gone. I loved the episodes where they talked about their life, but I suppose they ran out of stories.
I've watched since season 9, and haven't missed an episode since. I loved the show then, but I love the new stuff, too. Yes, they have more scripts these days, but I see that as a frame, which allows R&L to be themselves without needing to be too aware of the production. The food tasting episodes aren't the most exciting, but I feel, often a simple main episode is followed by a great GMMore, and with some episodes being less complex, we sometimes get something especially crazy. The nasty stuff might be gone, mostly thanks to YT demonitizing anything even slightly controversial, but you can watch two guys hurl only so many times without it getting old, and I much prefer watching them eat stuff they actually like than have them feel sick. There was that notorious 3 episodes per day season, which kinda made things over produced, but we are now on an era of the guys being pretty unhinged, maybe verbally more than visually, and I love it.
I actually completely disagree. I’ve seen every episode and I watch daily. I think the main culprit is redundancy and people outgrowing the content. If anything, they’ve stayed completely stagnant. Which I love and don’t mind. Oh well.
i'm glad they're valuing their health and not consuming nasty shit on a daily basis... but i do really miss all of the gagging and puking! it was so funny, if not incredibly concerning

I agree 100%. The original talk show aspect of the older clips is what made early GMM so special to me. Now everything is a game and is overproduced.
