9:30 - It looks like a simple increase/decrease in energy levels; but, what causes noise in the spectra? The UV lamp is ok and the instrument appears to be working (valid zero and baseline, etc.)?

ESR takes place in the presence of external magnetic field and microwave radiation (9-10 GHz).
