His Holy Modal Majesty, it's the first time in my life I've ever heard anyone cover it. It was brilliant then wonderful to hear through different fingers..........Thanks
Thanks for the kind words Bruce! His Holy Modal Majesty is an incredible song but I wasn't trying to cover it in this clip....apart from the run at the start I'm just improvising as a tribute to Mike who is one of my heroes. Here's a link to the jam that the first phrase I played was transcribed from and inspired by. ua-cam.com/video/V7xWCqLNDc0/v-deo.html
Thanks man. Without boring you with the sad details, the original pickups (I think they would have been the highly regarded Tim Shaws) have indeed been replaced. For years the guitar had Seymour Duncan 59s in it but I replaced them a few years ago with a Sheptone Blue Sky set. That made a huge difference...the Sheptones are incredible pickups. I'm playing through the clean channel of an Australian made amp built by John Ratajczyk called a Dream Reverb (50 watt 6L6 design). The dirt is coming from a Zendrive pedal.

What time stamp is the lick on? On the clip
It happens right around 12min59s and only lasts a few seconds.
You should listen work song Paul butterield or east west ,I try to learn by 👂 but is seems impossible for me,
Hi Farrel, thanks for the comment. That is a great track and if I get around to transcribing some of it I'll do a video of it.
I´m not shure it´s Mike. The ring ont his left hand makes a statement. But the style is not Mike´s style for me...
it's actually pretty darn close to His Holy Modal Majesty. Totally Bloomfield check it out.
..simply just not up to anything close to Mike's playing or sound.
