  • In the first part of the episode I talk with John Burton from Alabama. He shares an intense encounter he had at a remote cabin in Western North Carolina with a Bigfoot on his porch. John also shares some northern Alabama Sasquatch encounters from around Talladega National Forest that were some of the most intense I've heard.

I was welding for a logging company in 1970 in a wilderness area not to far from cougar Washington. Well my helper and I were caught up with our work so the cook wanted us to catch some salmon for dinner. The salmon were running. Well we were fishing birds singing and all of a sudden everything got quiet. I heard something kinda behind me and lord have mercy my helper was running 90 mph straight up the mountain. I hollowed at him but I guess he never heard me just kept running.then I turned around and I saw something jumped from rock to rock across that river looked like a humped back hairy man about 7 feet tall. Don't know why I didn't run but it was going away from me across the river. I caught 3 salmon and got back to camp. My helper quit the next day. Hahaha never heard from him again

They are not unknown, just not acknowledged by governments- all have their own reasons for not acknowledging them! People have been seeing all along. The indigenous people have always known about them. They all advise to leave then alone. And having a respectful fear of them is very wise.

People often say "why haven't we found a skeleton, if it exists?" Well, black bears are abundant in the Southern Appalachians, and I've spent over 40 years hanging out in those mountains. Not once have I ever found a bear carcass while hunting or trout fishing.

My sister lives in Franklin NC. We go there and visit her. She is high up on a mountain with thick woods all around. She has bears coming up on her balcony and a bunch of deer. She doesn't like to stay there without her husband. I've been there plenty of times. I enjoy walking around the woods. She had 2 big dogs and they would go with me. I never felt or saw anything. We might be going next week because we live in Florida and whenever we get a hurricane, we head for her house 8 hours away in the mountains. It's beautiful there. Her backyard is the Smoky Mountains so I'm sure there is something back there.

I know people who are hiker/campers for 25+ years and never had an encounter. Bigfoots seem to very elusive and don't want to be bothered nor do they want to bother others.

During the year 1971 possibly in the months of May to July in the area of Pulaski County in Missouri, where Ft. Leonardwood is, a similar incident occurred. They found an elderly lady that lived out in a forest area by herself dismembered outside of her house. I heard this incident on the television evening news. They claimed it must have been a bear but, I don’t think there were any bears in Missouri at that time. Also, a bear would maul and eat you, not dismember your hands and legs from your body. You need hands to do this. I’ve tried to get info on this incident but can’t find anything. If someone knows about this incident please share it with me and the rest of the people here. I appreciate your help.

I'm from North Alabama. I'm not far from Lake Guntersville and spent a lot of time on the lake and at Guntersville dam. Also, some of our family was raised on Cheaha mountain before there was a national forest.
The last weekend In May we have a family reunion on the mountain. We have what's called decoration at a cemetery on that mountain.
I've never seen anything but we have heard a lot of strange things on that mountain.
We actually used to camp at Lake Chinnabe( not sure on spelling). They stopped camping on that lake after some died in a flash flood while camping there.
The family members that still camp in the Talladega National Forest, camp up higher on the mountain.
It's actually happening this weekend. But I'm not gonna make this one.

People dont understand how a creature of this size and stature could keep themselves hid all these years without being seen. Well first off, they are being seen. All the time. Second, the people who don't actually look for them, won't see them. Humans track by movement. If something stands still, and no one is actually searching for it, they won't find it. Imagine a race of hominids, that live in all the darkest parts of the world. All the places that man won't go into. Then imagine this race of hominids actually being sentient. Meaning they know that they are alive and people are looking for them, and if people find them? Well that's bad news for them. Maybe they learned from experiences in the past, when they came into contact with man. So the Sasquatch are purposely hiding from man. No other animal does that. Remember that Japanese solder that hid on an island in the Philippines for almost 30 years, because he thought that WW2 was still going on? He didn't just hide either. This guy actually preformed ambushes on local farmers and actively hid from rescue parties when they tried to end his one man assult. For almost 30 years they never cought the guy. And he was on an island. He didn't want to be found. Just like Sasquatch.

I thought that is weird hunters don't do that and what wild animal would do that and not even eat it or drag it off.?? Just like there are people who are generally peaceful, and not aggressive or aggressive or violent...and then other people who actually enjoy making violence. I think that the same is true for the sasquatch. Some of them are peaceful and not outwardly aggressive or violent, and then there are others that are extremely territorial, and extremely aggressive and violent.

I lived in an area for about four years in Central Oregon where Sasquatch/lived roamed. They never really bothered me and I never bothered them. I did occasionally leave food for them. It was not a daily or weekly thing. I woukd just ask them to not scare me or my young son. I heard them run close by my place, tge screams, samurai chatter etc. My place would shake when they ran by. They woukd mimic owels, wolves etc. It was a rural area. My neighbor thought that people where doing drugs in the woods right behind our homes, no way it was below zero and 3 feet of snow. It was Sasquatch. One time they slapped my place and broke the light out that was 8 or 9 feet above my door. They "told me" they did it for my safety??
Then after I relocated to Texas, I had several encounters with the same dogman.

The early books on Bigfoot -- John Green, Dahinden, etc. -- pushed the "Gentle Giant of the Forest" idea. In the 1980s, however, Sasquatch reports seemed to dry up. I recall an article in the INFO Journal entitled "Where Have All the Bigfeet Gone?" printed during that time.
Stories seemed to pick up again in the '90s -- but there was a disturbing difference. There were reports -- or at least rumors -- of Bigfoot killing whole herds of cattle, carrying off children, ripping people apart with their bare hands, "waging war" against people living at specific locations, etc. Was this a frightening new development, or did incidents like this always happen (a la Ape Canyon), but earlier writers "edited" them out?

This is what I believe, they have a few bad apples just like humans. If bigfoot wanted us for lunch we would all be gone. A house isnt going to stop what I saw. I think if someone harms them, or disturbs their hunt then they might agitate them.

I was born and raised in the Fraser River Valley of British Columbia. I've camped in several areas mentioned in encounters. Pitt lake being one of them where one visited my tent..
I know these stories are true. I also believe most Sasquatch are not interested in killing us.
That's not to say none have killed. If you fire on one and cause it harm. Or you hurt one of their family members (they don't always stray too far from one another)
      You're likely not going home.

It seems like in most of North America the predominant behavior of Sasquatch towards humans is either to avoid us or to intimidate us out of territory they feel they need to protect probably because young or females are nearby.

I have had them on my farm for years, I shot at one once and it bugged me for weeks, stomping around at night, shaking pictures on my walls, growling, and whistling and tapping on windows late at night, Eyeshine everywhere at night, juvies climbing my buildings and hiding on or behind them, all kinds of stuff, jiggling my door handles, they were on a terrorist campaign after I shot over their head, and once I just pointed my rifle at them and one jumped up from hiding in corner of my yard behind a bush and ran off, they know what guns are, and that's when I thought that they could possibly be hurt, and not all of them are completely paranormal entities, and they are actually afraid of being shot at

I've left my encounter on a lot videos but I just can't get it off my mind. I haven't hunted in 9 years. I lived at my hunting camp for a few years and I'd hunted there from the age of 7 to 30. In all those years not myself or any of my family or other members had any experiences until i did that one day when I was 30. It couldn't have been more than 30 to 40 yards away from me into the brush. It started like a grown man yelling and being that close it shook me. My first thought was is that coming from the creek which is maybe 50 yards away just out of site. Then that yell morphed into a roar louder than a lion. It was like a physical wave or force rattled my organs. I just can't get this across to people. Imagine sitting in a car with sub woofers rattling your insides. It was so freaking terrifying I couldn't move. It was like I went into shock. My dog took off whining. I just stood there, and then I just snapped out of it and ran as fast as I could towards my cabin. I got my dog and I left. Nobody believes me, it's so frustrating. People think it's just a sound. It's not how loud it was. It's physical affects it had on my body. This thing had to be massive. I spent most of my life in the woods, there shouldn't be anything anywhere in the world that can do that. Especially not in Mississippi. By the way this was also in Collins Ms where Kerry Arnold's encounter happened.

@@BigfootSociety I have really dove into this over the past couple of months. I think much like UFOs, Sasquatch is being covered up to which I'm not happy with. Some of these family groups are extremely dangerous and people are going into our parks blind to the danger. Every 10 feet you get a warning about how to handle a bear but nothing about a sentient creature that can strategize. You just have to hope they're not pissed off at you. I don't think this situation can continue, because the sightings are becoming more and more numerous as we encroach on m o r e unpopulated areas. I'm going out for a family reunions in Tennessee next week and they are right in the heart of Squatch territory which I really didn't know LOL. They probably have like two thousand acres outside of McEwen. I ran all over that country when I was a kid without a care in the world except for the Copperheads. I ran into enough of those that I can now smell a snake long before I see it LOL it's going to be a little different visit this time because I'm pretty sure my cousins know about Sasquatch.

When I was a kid, the adults would tell us to watch out for the booger man. I always figured he was a fictitious character that didn't exist, until I had a violent encounter with one a few years ago. I have a drone picture of him, along with alien greys, dogmen and Caucasian space people by a landed flying saucer. The space people who are around 10 feet tall and super skinny, seem to be in control of all the creatures. Most people don't know bigfoots are coming here from other worlds on ufo's. Could it be from the hot weather and competition from the dogman? Also does this guys voice sound like “sasq chronicles” or what? 😂
If you close your eyes and forget what podcast is on, it sounds exactly like Wes Germer from Sasquatch Chronicles. I mean this is like Lamb of God to Pantera. It’s a Complete YKW..
Anyways, back to the subject matter at hand. The dogman 🐺 and Bigfoot 🙊 are out there. There’s so many stories of these things. Some of the stories date back not hundreds thousands of years. That’s right have you ever heard of the dog headed man Anubis? From Egyptian times..
That’s a “Cynocephaly” a dog headed man, who (this is the really strange part), for about 700 years there was like five different religions, and three separate continents, having stories of trying to convert the dog man to Christianity. If you do the research there is stories from 6/700-12/300 AD of this!
They also day all the way back to Egyptian times I think the Native American stories closely resemble the Egyptian time stories of Anubis. Some sort of Shapeshifting half man, half werewolf thing that is like a gatekeeper or guardian, like a spirit animal. They’re all the same thing at the end of the day.
You just put a little twist on it depending on your location, geography environment and upbringing our culture. Wild!!
So, if they are real, this is been hidden from the main stream general public for centuries. Could it be that environment, weather patterns, competition and food sources play vital key role in the development of character and social responsibility of these creatures much like us? I would bet on it.
Even if they are not just flesh and blood, maybe they were experimented on for a few decades under ground, and let loose with collars or invisible whistles that can “draw them back” to their underground, tunnels or something. Maybe that’s why they’re always near a source of limestone because you can have fast underground tunnel systems that are capable of not collapsing in on themselves. Maybe they’re used to like do certain tasks or things or take care of certain problems in certain locations.
Maybe the reason when you start praying in front of them and that always seems scare off if it’s in there evolution to be afraid of these religious people. Maybe there’s some sort of chemical compound in their DNA that helps their skeleton and bodies dissolve almost instantly as soon as oxygen stabs entering their bloodstream. That’s why there’s no trace left. They literally implode until the muscles retrofit into each other until there’s nothing left a pile of smoke!?🤷‍♂️

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Story of a family of 4 where mom, dad and daughter ripped apart, young boy untouched. Boy said big hairy monsters did it. After a bunch of therapy and hypnosis or whatever they got more details that mom and daughter saw a Sasquatch watching them, screamed, so dad tried to protect them (sorry I don't recall what that entailed, maybe grabbed a firearm?) Anyhow that caused several Sasquatches to charge in and just pull off limbs from the people and really tear them up. But the boy I guess just kinda stood there and didn't do a thing. Which is most likely why they left him be. Sorry I can't remember where I heard that story from (horrible memory these days) but I was curious if anyone else had heard anything that sounds like that? From what I remember I'm the from it law enforcement covered it up really well. Thanks in advance for any information anyone might have. These animals are not all friendly!

@@BigfootSociety I'm driving myself bonkers trying to remember when/where/how I had heard that story. I seem to recall something about the boy being pretty young and obviously quite traumatized to the point where he wouldn't speak at all for a couple years. Then as he got older a few years and started living a somewhat normal life they had some therapists and possibly some hypnosis (?) that finally got it out of him what he actually saw that day. Which as crazy as it sounds seems very possible to me. First off think about the strength required to pull limbs off of a human body without any sort of knife or whatever. That compiled with the lack of teeth marks I'm sure had investigators really scratching their heads. Then, if we just for a moment let's assume that Sasquatches are basically just an extremely intelligent great ape (just for the purpose of this possible explanation, so don't anyone go freaking out here) but that would totally be in line with the possibilities of a wild animal. By that I mean they were probably fine just watching the people, out of simple curiosity. But when the girls started screaming it just set something off in them. The father trying to protect them got attacked as well. The boy, being just stunned by what was happening apparently, just stood there and didn't even move so they left him be. I'm wondering if silverbacks or chimpanzees might act in the same fashion in the same scenario. Hard to say but can't rule it out. These creatures are absolutely real and they are HUGE. Angry ones are outright terrifying. Although I could also see how a mellow one would be really something to interact with. Even if it was just a short moment of observing each other. I'm sure someday the species will be acknowledged and then all the mystique, etc surrounding them will go away for the most part.

@@BigfootSociety When I first heard the Sierra sounds the very first thought that went through my mind was that if we could go back in time and witness our ancestors when they were just beginning to evolve, first trying to figure out speech vs just animal sounds, I'll bet that is very close to what it would have sounded like. Keeping in mind that process took an extremely long time. Now think about how many other early human type species that came and went extinct. So are these creatures possibly just now taking their turn in the history of species evolving on the planet? I would think it hard to believe that evolution has reached a point of being finished. Meaning that in a million years or whatever perhaps these creatures would be much more advanced. I obviously can't say what that would look like, but interesting to ponder.

I have lived in "Bigfoot hotspots" for most of my life in different states. I have never seen one but I have heard odd things in the woods and fields from time to time. I find it worth noting that protected areas are where the sightings are but none in major metropolitan areas. Just food for thought.

    • @mrmatthew2443
      @mrmatthew2443 4 місяці тому +1

Yes state forest and other protected lands are much more likely because if there’s no hunting or logging allowed the Sasquatch are more likely to feel safe and stick around or use it as a safe house on they’re migration routes
