"After 19 minutes of flying" ... you are not only mad, you are immensely patient as well.
Great mission, this was fun to watch!
I really had hopes for KSP 2, its so sad to see what's been done.
Wait what, Bradley Whistance has uploaded???
I click,
Instantly back to hope.
Thank you for keeping us all fed these years!
Id love to see a untraminimalistic mission in KSP2!
I still think that someone is still working on the game. Though the WARN notice said 70 layoffs, we have only heard from a few devs that they were laid off. Plus, SteamDB still shows changes being made. I'm not guaranteeing anything, but I think there is still some hope.
@@IvanRodriguez-tl2zr arent they only leaving in june
@@IvanRodriguez-tl2zr 70 layoffs in the only place developing ksp2, ksp2 credits list about 70 people...
I've been watching your content for more than a few years now, except now I'm 3 years into an aerospace engineering degree. Its fun now actually understanding the engineering terminology you apply to playing KSP and use to make missions with extremely fine tolerances.
What's it like? I've been considering pursuing a degree in that
@@ENCHANTMEN_i’m also 3rd year in aerospace engineering, it’s so fucking cool and i wouldn’t have wanted to take anything else. but when people say that you need to work, you do need to work. don’t expect the “student experience” of lots of partying because imo there’s not enough time for it. for me it was 100% the right choice and i find it so interesting, and the challenge is fun too
Damn, the first launch used as much methane and nearly as much hydrogen as the last six combined
The rocket equation in effect...
Do the math. 1 pound less weight equals more delta v than adding 1 pound of fuel
I would of used a multi stage craft cause no refueling just means you can't refuel stages, so staging is good
@@spanum *Would have
Also wondering if staging would disqualify it as a spaceplane and rather turn it into a rocket.
Like the Space Shuttle being the plane but the STS being a rocket.
Even if it still classifies as a spaceplane, it would no longer be 9 launches for a plane, but 9 launches for a decreasingly smaller plane that would no longer equate to the starting vessel even with refuelling. He would orbit a new spaceplane everytime he jettisons something off.
Refuelling his plane would result in 100% of the vessel he started with.
Watching the final approach, I was fully expecting you to land it on the small driveway to the landing pads.
It took me a moment to see the VAB, and wow.
How do you not stall the craft at 25m/s? That's insane.
The insane lift-to-weight ratio at the end allowed him to do this.

These videos make me so happg
Mr. Whistance, have you considered modded KSP1? there are some really cool parts and planet mods even if you stick to stock-alike stock-balanced stuff
Does fairing backbone trick works in ksp 2? You could hide ALL fuel tanks from drag with much smaller fairing
"Nu-kyu-ler"
He also seems to pronounce "fuel" as "feel"
real shame the game died
Hey hey I've seen this one it's a classic.
Woah
That's cheating! You didn't get all the way to the ground in that last landing --- it doesn't count!
Please return to modded KSP 1 :)
this
I mean, if he wants to keep playing KSP 2, why stop him?
@@IvanRodriguez-tl2zr uh... intervention? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I see Bradley Whistance

I wonder how many times that quicksave at 12:08 was loaded. 😆 Another great video!
Did mounting the remaining 7th Whiplash on top of the craft have much of an impact on efficiency in terms of the torque it imparted upon the craft that had to be counteracted by control surfaces?
Also oof that final landing, wow.
I imagine it wouldn't have much effect. It's not offset by that much, and is very far ahead of the center of mass.
I'm pretty sure the other 6 engines are just slightly below the center line to counter that. It's Bradley we are talking about!
Babe wake up, new Bradley Whistance video just dropped
As of this moment no one has watched this video in it's entirety.
That's assuming no one watched it on 2x speed
no, 1 person did. bradley himelf of course since he edited the video
@@MaximillionBucks 2x? Nah, I got a plugin that lets me go 100x
I gather information faster than any normal youtube user.
As of this moment, nobody has watched this video thrice in its entirety.
@@MaximillionBucks Even on 2x speed it still would take about six and a half minutes. which is over the four minute mark I commented at.
bradley is back!!!
i just wish ksp 2 didn't run as smooth as rubber on sandpaper
The game’s performance is a lot better than it was last year, especially on saves with fewer ships in flight.
It's "nuclear", not "nukelar".
Nuse lear
Lol, I appreciated the ending!
It was done by turbopumped back in ksp 1 with 5 orbits
Didn't he do 12 orbits at one point?
Use pistons and shove mass backward at high speed for better dv engines
You need like 999 pistons to
“Unusual quirks and features” reminds me of Doug DeMuro car reviews :)
Thank you for always sharing your hard work with us
:()
Do a video with the fastest circumnavigation, via suborbital trajectory. Let's call is a Challenge!!! Please and thank you!!!
could you try the same mission in ksp1 with the Liberator from kerbal atomics? its slightly more powerful than the swerv but the hydrogen has more dry mass.
the astronauts should voluntarily jump out if you put them on a mission that's too long, like 5 years
1:47 i hate that i have to be a pedant, but centripetal acceleration comes from gravity in this case.
Please make a 40K drop cathedral and land it on Dune.
13:14 you did not do it...
Man i wish ksp2 wasnt dead :/
This airbrake fried potato delivery was much more direct but there was lots low speed time to cool down. 8/10.
You've got some NERV to make this space plane man...
Quirks and features... did not expect a doug reference here ;)
POV, attacking the D Point with an F-104A
reverse air-hogging! neat.
This didn't have to be an ssto so why didn't u bring big wings and a much bigger plane then detached those wings on orbit and fly the remainder of your flights with this small plane u have right here
Why? Because!
Beautifully done!
Loved it!
WHat was that flash at 3:10 ??

It's probably a quicksave loading screen.
The duality of man in the two above replies
When I've played ( recently too ) I've found that although atmospheric heating is in there's little to no resistance. For example I tried to aerobrake a Mk1 Capsule, a rather modest and empty Size S Fuel tank and a terrier engine. But I had no change in apoapsis at all when entering the atmosphere to a periapsis of 40km ( standard aerobrake from minmus ). I only noticed drag once I jettisoned the tank and terrier engine and had just the capsule. which of course burned up with the heating and was why I was trying to aerobrake to a decent speed before a final descent. I gave up playing at that point. This was a couple of weeks after the last update and before Take Two pulled the plug.
We should petition for KSP2 to be made open source.
Just because there are programming errors does not discredit development (whether it continues or not). Saying that we should just "open source" and magically fix the game is unrealistic at best. It is better to just report the bugs and wait patiently for patches.
@@IvanRodriguez-tl2zr There won't be continued development - So yes it should be made open-source.
That would be the best thing for KSP, whether they fired everyone or not it'd be a massive improvement (But they did, so moot point).
is ksp2 good now?
It’s definitely better, but still missing the ISRU and robotics from KSP1, let alone all the unique content promised.
And unfortunately a few weeks ago word came out that the dev studio was shut down, so the chance that we’ll be getting more content at all is slim.
