@@midwestern_rc yass! Even just the hextenders on it will give it a better stance. I lost most of my recordings a la broken SD card. that's why there isn't much FireTeam footage on my channel right now. 😕
Appreciate the video. First RC and was looking at Xrt but the 399 sale price had me go Fire Team. Probably going to get a Felony or Infraction next to leverage the battery investment. Video was perfect timing.
The fireteam is an amazing RC in general and very beginner friendly with how durable they are and mod friendly. I wanna get a road car but it’s winter here in the Midwest so I’m gonna wait until spring

They are “kryptonic” ramps. Not sure if they’re still out there or not as I got these ramps off of offer up 2 years ago for 10$. So try fb marketplace or offer up and search skate ramps. You’d be surprised what you may find!
@@gonzodetroitify I'm running a 13t pinion with stock spur on the stock system and I can get 25-35 minutes (I think, never timed it) depending on how hard I push it. It feels like an eternity. Savage flux xl with Alza centre diff and set lvc to low on a new G2 max8 2250kv combo and get about 30/40 mins so am hoping the same in the fireteam if not more as the system I think is less total power and draw than the combo I’m using now Hopefully tomo I’ll try out the gens ace lipos and see how long I get But I do get what you mean as it feels like an enternity as on the blx 185 combo indeed that it does feel like forever And always then only find out I’m only at 3.6/7 per cell and that system goes into lvc at 3.6🔥and I think I’m at 3.2v lvc on the Hobbywing combo 😂😂😂
This video is a year old, but it’s honestly the best starter/beginner video out there. I’ve been debating between a Kraton, Fireteam or Mojave 6s and can’t make up my mind. The only RC I own is the Typhon 3s and two Mojave Groms. Would you recommend the Fireteam over the others?
Yeah the body from the fireteam is so much more beginner friendly. I’ve had the thing since they came out and I still haven’t broken anything besides having a pillow ball pop out which is an easy fix.
@ 4S would still be fun and a great way to learn bashing. 6S is a lot on these cars they’re very fast with 6S. If you do go 4S I would still do 500k in the center diff
Thanks for the sub! Yeah it’s kind of out there haha. I’ve sold many of my RC cars lately but I haven’t sold my fireteam. Besides the ESC burning up twice (which was replaced under warranty) nothing has broken
What are the motor temps like with the new fans installed? Thinking about getting new fans and was wondering if these ones are worth it? Also is it easy to installed? Love the vids!
Great video however the motor doesn’t have a sensor attached to it so it won’t hit thermal cut off the esc will hit thermal and if the esc hits thermal usually that motor is so hot you can burn yourself on it or cook bacon 🥓 on it lol great video bud keep ‘em coming I like how you explain things
I didn’t know that! I’ve burnt myself on a few occasions when other trucks have gone into thermal and I decided to feel the motor (before I bought a temp gun)
@@midwestern_rc same here luckily enough one had spares from infraction bearing kit😁 only thing I think is too much play from out the box ON the wheels axles in/outwardly Tho shims will do nicely once I find the size

M2C chassis is going to add a lot of weight. Stock electronics the EXB chassis is still the better option smaller hobby shops still have them for sale for a good price. Added weight is going to cause more to break. I still have my fireteam and I’ve only burnt up a center diff because I didn’t change the fluid like I should have. And the body is wrecked but that’s common.
@midwestern_rc How much more weight compared to the EXB? What is "a lot of weight"? Because at least on the Kraton is not a big difference even with stock chassis, 157g to be exact. Stock - 341g M2C - 498g
