    Thanks Valeriu Moscalu, Finally someone confirming my suspicions after 100s of videos on cam phasers causing low compression, especially running compression. As leakdown test was good and cranking compression was good, but misfires all on one bank on ford 4.6 3v. Guess next step is new mellings oil pump while im in there and timing components with good quality phasers.

    Great information! I just did a compression test on my Honda, 210-210-60-180. Coolant is clear as day, was consuming oil about 1 qt every 10-14 days

      Engine should have vibrations, especially at idling when compression is 60 in one cylinder, you should feel it!

      You can do a cylinder compression leak down test and will see where you loosing compression, piston rings, valves , cylinder head or gasket!

      @@valeriumoscalu7580 it definitely has a rough idle. Heavy vibrations especially because I have solid mounts. I noticed something was off right away. Unfortunately I needed to drive another 60 miles or so to get home. I’m hoping no damage was done to the block ! I am removing the head in a couple of days….

    *Hi my car when in cold number 1 cylinder is not working (shaking), but when hot condition all cylinder is working (runs normal)... What could be the problem? There's no blowby in the dipstick.*

    I have Fiat 1.4 petrol engine. Cylinders say 75psi on one cylinder and 100psi on other 3 cylinders. It doesn't fire up. Could it be that the timing is out slightly? Could correcting the timing solve the starting issue?

    I have already spend so much money trying to fix mt car by the local mechanics. Changed clutch plates, rings and alot of electrical sensors trying to find the fault which causes low power of the car.
    I noticed, a little smoke and air coming out from dipstick when removed. What could be the issue here? Please respond 🙁

    What would it be on 3.0 1mz-fe 97 Avalon cylinder 1&2 are dead misfires I swapped plug and injector from cylinder 6 to cylinder 2 than ran the car for a day drove it etc and only cylinder 1 was misfiring but the next day driving cylinder 1 & 2 are dead misfires again and cylinder 6 is fine I also ran top sealer additives in the radiator and motor oil as it is loosing both overtime.
    But I don't understand how swapping the spark plugs and fuel injectors would fix cylinder 2 for a little bit then stop working again what does this sound like I really need to get this car running again

      Maybe it didn't fixed it, just was a coincidence! Did you performed a compression test? Also did you tested the injectors?

      @valeriumoscalu7580 no don't have the tools for compression testing and GREAT CALL!!! I didn't respond right away but compared all 6 injectors resistance to newer ones and they were at or below minimum threshold and one had no reading switched them and engine runs smoothly no misfires 👏🏼👍🏼 thank you Guess I better start doing wear and tear maintenance this car got close to half a million miles with most of the original parts lol but as long as it keeps rolling until I get something newer

    I have a 1998 Nissan frontier 2.4L ka24de 2.4 standard that has no compression. Whenever it first went down the timing chain tensioners broke as well as the starter. After fixing that issue, same problem. After further inspection it had a blown head gasket but it never got hot, with milky oil. No bent valves, piston and rings were good and head wasn’t warped. After that, repaired and timed, still the same problem with no compression. The engine cranks but doesn’t try to start. What do you think?

    What if the compression is too high such as spec 135 psi but test with 5 compression stroke show 225psi

    I have low compression on one of my cylinders(100psi on cold engine). 2006 infiniti m45 4.5 v8. I dont wanna spend thousands to fix it. I was going to either sea foaming or throw a bottle of compression repair. What do u recommend i do first.

      Did you use a gauge to test the compression in each cylinder? What does it show?

    Hi, my 2007 audi a4 quattro 2.0L turbo stalls at a red light. The cam chain and tensioner broke. I replaced both with new ones. Now cylinders 1&3 have 150psi. But cylinders 2&4 only have 90psi. The car starts and runs but shaking like crazy. Can you please help me out to see what could be the problems? Thank you.

      Did you inspected the cylinder head valves for leakage?

      You should do a leak down test in this cylinders to see where it's loosing the air pressure!

      The problem can be in the exhaust valves , intake valves if they have carbon build up and not closing all the way!

      Than you need to check what is the cause of low compression and fix it! With compression so low the engine isn't going to run!

      kinda not really common problem, if i pour a little oil into the cylinders, it can reach a little more bar, but no so significant. anyways i have to disassemble it, just wanted to ask you opinion. thanks for the feedback :)

    Hi, i have a 2010 audi a4 b8 2.0t. engine starts up and runs but limp mode. Cylinder 4(nearest to back of engine bay) has no compression at all. All other 3 cylinders have good compression. Do you think its valve related?

      @@morganmorris3459 it's the valve most probably, you should do s cylinder leak down test, this will tell you exactly where you loosing compression, but most probably the melted, bent or damaged valve!

    Just got a MK7 GTI and from nowhere the dealership saids the engine is toast because it didn’t have compression. The car was driving just fine and at the 7th day of ownership it just dies on the road and haven’t start again. It crank with very low power and you can hear her backfiring while trying to start. What would be the cause I replace spark plugs and one of my coils is damage it fall apart if you try to take it out. Also I can not hear my fuel pump but there is definitely a fuel smell on the engine while cranking. Any other options I can anything else? I do have 4 new coils I haven’t put on because the car is still at the dealership

      Fuel and coils have nothing to do with compression! If compression is to low it will not start!

    Honda accord f18b2 1.8 vtec 1999 year three cylinders have a compression of 10,the fourth cylinder has only 4.5,the spark plug is black and consumes oil,works restlessly in reverse What could be the cause

      Can be :intake valves, exhaust valves, piston rings, headgasket , piston, crack in the cylinder!

      Did you fix it? I have the same problem, first 3 cil running at 14/13.5 bar, the 4 one is 2.3 bar, i have done 9500 rpm on a 8k limiter car so i think maybe valves or piston damage

    My bike tensioner stuck while in starting position. Then i instantly turn off my bike and reset its timing chain setting. But now bike won't start and no compression. Do you know the problem kindly help to figure it out?

      Brobably the chain was looking loose and jumped a few teeth and now the timing is wrong!

Both valve working properly but when i move magnet it showing no resistance and no compression realizing sound. It seems that piston cracked or rings are broken. So according to these inspections Sir what is your opinion?

      Yup. Change your oil every 6 months or 5,000 miles even if the manufacturer recommends 10,000 mile oil change interval. Also never let your motor overheat.

    All incorrect. #1 problem is that valves are not closed due to over tighten of rocker arm

      The lyfters here are hydraulic, they don't need adjustment! They are use oil pressure and a preload spring to achieve corect valve lash!
