I've been in the process of restoring a '74 Kaw H1 for the past 2 years. If I had any advice for anyone considering rebuilding a vintage motorcycle to factory specs with the intentions of selling it for a profit - Don't! They're an endless money pit!! The mechanic that owns a Kawasaki Dealership and is putting it back together said I'm not the first, nor will I be the last to try it. He said, if you want to buy one, let the seller spend their life savings and countless hours on the restoration and buy theirs. Last piece of advice - don't buy one based on pics a seller posts showing how great it is. Look at it up close and personal. Estimate the cost at 4 or 5 times what you think you'll spend on it. I'm going to finish it; I'm in too deep to stop now. It's cost me counless thousands and hundreds of hours so far.

What is your rough estimate of cost for restoration on this project?

Well without the purchase of the actual titled frame and the complete engine assembly, it cost about 8k for labor and parts plus paint work.
