Totally agree....need to put life in perspective....I hope Paul gets well soon....he's a legend. We've got a great team and a fantastic manager. Keep the faith.
What I heard/understood from Parkies "threat" was that they asked him if Bishop had gone to their locker room to apologize.
Parkie said no and that itd be best if he didnt currently because they were all upset.
Idk how media is spinning this as a threat.
He just meant for the keeper to let things simmer down before he goes over and talks to em
that goal never went for the ball!!! that's red card in my book
I think lee would do a gret job in for mullin .( short term) . and then davies coming back in .. that would work ..lee works and creates chances out of nothing...just cant see any 1 out there that would come in and gel with the team in such a short time... but parky is the man, lets see the outcome.. positive thinking .. speedy recovery mulls..utst
Another plus point Aaron Hayden back and scoring!!!!😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉❤
American medicine is amazing guys. He’ll be back in 4 weeks. Rob and Ryan will make sure he’s gets too flight care.
It’s crazy that we have the best medicine but our politicians can’t pass a law for free healthcare because the big pharmacy don’t want to lose money 🤦♂️
I will second that, best Health Care in the world if can afford the insurance. After experiencing it firsthand and my Sister, I can safely say It is one of the best in the world. They will have Mullen up and running in no time!!!
In this context, medical progress being what it is in the world, you've basically just bragged the equivalent of "Best tyre changes in the world".
Mullin will be fine. Worry not, dwar friends!
Up The Town! ❤
This Wrexham team can still win without Mullin as they showed. They are built to adapt with or without him as they did in the 3-1win..I’ve heard theirs a £200 million super yacht called dead pool picking mulls up as we speak 😂 good luck mulls 🎉😂❤
There are cruise lines that sail US-UK regularly. Paul could collect up his family and a medic and be back in Wrexham in 2 weeks.
This could fire the lads up even more for the start of the season.
As Mullin is basically stuck in the US for a while it would be great if the club and its owners would fly his family out to be with him.
💯 he’s going to need that family support(mental and physical)on his road to recovery.
I'm sure it's already been offered
NO! The God damn goalkeeper should fly his family out. Terrible challenge.
From United supporter , get well soon 😊
It’s not great, but it’s not the end of the world. I think we also have to put things into perspective, any club in league 2 given the opportunity to go to the states and play their pre-season against Chelsea in front of 52,000 supporters, LA Galaxy, Man United in front of 30,000+ fans and Philadelphia would jump at the chance. Injuries happen, yes it was reckless but there would be more chance of a reckless challenge had they been playing another league 2 team or potentially non league. Wrexham have an international fan base that has opened up so many doors for them. No other league2 teams would have these opportunities. As much as Mullin is our star player, we have a good squad and players that can fill that gap. We also have an excellent manager and owners of the club that will do what needs to be done to ensure Wrexham continue on their journey. No team can solely rely on one player as players get injured. What you can guarantee is Mullin will get the best possible treatment, the owners will probably fly his family out to him and all that can be done to give him the best possible recovery. In the meantime it’s an opportunity for some of the other players to grab the limelight and make a name for themselves
Not ideal but we have enough quality… surely 😊
As an arsenal supporter believe me Man Utd are on some dirty shit this pre season
We signed waters for just this reason. He will have to get his shit together on finishing. I don’t see a Palmer/dalby duo up top. bickersraff Is under rated. Get Folurain Balogun! Arsenal will be sending him out on loan again! Lol
2:59 - Punctured and collapsed lung are NOT the same thing. Mullin suffered a broken rib, which then punctured (poked a hole into) his lung. He'll likely be out for eight weeks or so.
Christ sake 🤦 has Bishop been watching Schumacher vids 🙄 feckless eejit.
Mullin's a fighter but can't see him back, even as a bit part till Oct/Nov at the earliest. I guess now we'll see what Waters is like & see if Dalby can push on & shine like he had been. Need to bubble wrap Palmer 😬😁
I too am very upset at SPM's injury but I can't help but feel that this somehow just falls right into the 'story' of Wrexham as written under the new owners. After the team fell short in the first year . Rob said that it was obviously bad not to get promotion , BUT, from a storytelling perspective, it wasn't really all that bad. And it wasn't. It literally made the next year both better and more sustainable. The TEAM got better at handling the new pressures after the setback.
I am looking forward to seeing if the other players can find that 'extra' gear now that Paul is out for a while. I'm sure that they can. Never easy in Wrexham,.
Gutted...what a fuckin' mess...will Parky get another backup striker before the window closes?
It's a straight red card every time. The keeper was cowardly, playing like that.
Wishing you a quick recovery your the a good man an u cannot be down for long,
Get back Mullin ❤
Get Rob and Ryan on the blower to PSG
Thanks, random internet stranger. I needed a bit of a laugh.
The amount of time Mullin misses is really down to any associated broken rib(s).
The lung can be punctured by the broken end of a rib or it can be broken by the air pressure inside the lung being increased by the force of the impact (like squeezing a baloon until it pops).
A broken rib will take 4-8 weeks to heal, depending on its severity, plus maybe 3-4 weeks to recover match fitness.
An impact punctured lung should heal in under two weeks (hence the duration of the flight ban - and the club will almost certainly require a doctor certify his ability to go on a flight). Paul won't be able to do any training at all during this time, so you have to say he would need time to recover match fitness - maybe 2-3 weeks.
Ballpark figure is thus a 5 - 12 week absence.
A tragedy for Paul and for Wrexham on the eve of our return to the EFL!
In compensation for the injury caused by their player perhaps Man Utd could be persuaded to loan us a striker until January?!
I suspect it's going to be longer rather than shorter. The "small puncture" doesn't really matter much, as I think it's more indicative of a broken rib rather than the bruised rib.
More likely 6-10 weeks. Three months before he’s fully recovered probably.
I was hoping you were gonna jump on for a review of the injury… nice.
This can go a couple of ways. Send his family over the pond and enjoy California. Have a private jet with nurse or doctor on board in case of lung recollapsing. I am quite sure Paul wants to at least go home to watch the season opener.
It's not a short flight, San Diego to Philly. It's trans-continental. 5 1/2 hours or so.
It's a blow before the start of the season. Fingers crossed Parky has a plan while Mullin recovers.
Ben Foster gave Bishop Mullin's number so he could sort it out.
Interviewed post-match.
Yeah, various body parts have been grafted onto Parky's statement of his then-current emotions on the matter.
Standard.
