Bill and Ted’s excellent adventure.
Koda is the star! What a sweetie I love how she laid right down in the second camper like she’s ready to stay! ❤This is amazing and love all the setups. Great vid 👍

Holding back the onset of winter through sheer force of wardrobe... sandals!
WOW! Such an honor to be on your channel Phil!! Amazing how smooth you are at making these videos in person! Can’t wait to hang again soon!
Haha thank you! It was an absolute pleasure to get to know you and have you on the channel! Til next time!
Love that 1st gen!
Both those trucks are a nice setup

I could see putting a strut between the open doors to hold them in-place while cooking.
With a curtain, that enclosed area could be a shower zone.
Latch on a quick roof to make a mud-room.
You could also pin them to a hook or magnet or something on the truck, to hold them open.
I think trying to shower, there, would probably be a bit much. But definitely could make a little porch for kicking off your boots and stripping off your outer layers, especially when they're wet.
Anyone wanting to get into overland or truck camping on a budget the first gen Tundra 4x4 is the perfect platform I love mine.
I’ve had my eye on them for months! Around my area they’re kinda pricey. I was sold on them when I came across the article showing the half/million mile motor.
Toyota and budget dont go hand in hand, if you want budget go buy an american truck
Just get a thermal camera and film it while in cold weather, you will see there are a lot of thermal bridges in the Hiatus.
All those aluminium profiles are geting wet because of the condensation.
I like the Hiatus Camper with hard side walls.
4:10 😁 when your dog made a grand entrance!!
I love their truck tops. Definitely a consideration for our Toyota Tundra. Thanks for sharing this video so we can see the other options out there. And only 400 lbs!!
@Laz,
And water, plus food clothes tools bedding.
Necessities sneak up on GVWR.
@@largemarge1603 still MUCH MUCH lighter than a slide in at the end of the day, especially if wheeling a rig is a priority
I'm in love with the Hiatus camper.
Outstanding design.
Cozy Video for sure, love The campers
That dog is so happy! Nice campers guys, that 1st gen tacoma s stunning! 👏💪
Koda-approved campers. Awesome
Great video as always and I love the little VW Bug!
Love the Tacoma set-up.
There is another you tube channel rv and the guy says i am super excited all the time he over does it
Hiatus is bulletproof. Solid stuff .
best of both worlds in a video
Take a shot every time one of them says SUPER. LOL, I am guessing I would have to be rushed to the ER for alcohol poisoning.
Awesome, super and stoked.
Wow so cool. Love those. Super.
I wasn't aware of either of these brands. Very cool origami hard walls. The OVERLAND's got insulated liners you can add to the walls and - I think - the header. That's a big difference maker for comfort. 375 pounds, dry weight. That's pretty darn good. The Hiatus is close to the same weight.
I wonder if they make them with longer over-cab. Lots of crew cab Tacoma's out there. You could make a huge bed and not have to slide anything out, if you could extend the over-cab part. Regardless, Pythagorus allows a tall man to stretch out on a short bed, so if you were solo-ing, you probably wouldn't fool with sliding it out to King size, according to the big dude.
The hard-sided Hiatus is carrying some extra weight up top. I thought about having a hard-sided popup where the side panels are stored on or under the floor when you're on the road. Pop them out and redistribute the weight down low when you're driving.
Super, everything is super, super!
Apparently so. Lol
Hello Phil μαζί με την παρέα σου καλά να περάσετε 🙋♀️😘
Couldn’t watch the video because you guys were so, you know. Super valley girl. Super!
That Hiatus camper was so neat. The way those hardwalls flip up and down was sweet. Do those allow you to keep your bedding up there full time? I just got my OVRLND campers pop up and I had it built with extra bedding height and I absolutely love that I can keep my bedding and pillows up there. That was a huge space saver for me. 🤙
I don't think the hiatus being double the price is worth it though
@@kyzerw3816 The base stars at USD16500 as of today, having said that, having hard walls is really worth it, specially on windy conditions (try go sleep on windy night having canvas walls) it also provides better temperature insulation. So for me, the Hiatus is also worth it.
Hiatus campers are the future.
How many times can we say “ no way!!” And “DUDE!” Lighten up on the drama
What kind of cooking tables are in these campers? Anyone know?
Hi, great video!! I'm leaning heavily towards a truck bed camper. What is the name of the hitch plate receiver the 1Up bike rack was attached to?? I'm looking hard at a Rigd hitch swing too.
Thanks for any info, Keep up the great work!!! :)
I have the Rig'd and 1 up. and they're great. 1up rack for about 6 years 4x4ing quite a bit .. no issues. I bought the Rig'd used and the previous owner really 4x4'd it. I closes perfectly and is top quality.
What are you interviewing in?
Good morning, I would like to ask you for information, how much is the height in cm from street level to the roof, naturally with the roof closed Thank you.
Unfortunately, Hiatus is plagued by unmanageable demand leading to a 2-year backorder process. This is typical of a startup that doesn't have a plan to scale capacity or manage demand. Founders underestimate the difference between having a cool idea and scaling a viable, growing business. The folks at Hiatus would be better served by licensing their patent to a larger scale manufacturer.
support the underdog
which fold down table is that off the Rigd spare tire carrier? Know of any fold out table the fold on the short side not the long traditional style ones?
It’s a “front runner” table
Super
Starting $16K, damn
That's a lot of supers... Gentlemen
Wiith the amount of times they say "like" and "super" in the first 5 min..it's like being back in the 80s and listening to a bunch of valley girls. 😀
Not everybody is comfortable speaking on camera, no need to be rude about it.
Ya we were super stoked. I noticed that too and laughed. It’s called extreme passion, it comes in different forms with different people. Some people sound like this, some people don’t. I think it’s all pretty cool. But I’m sorry it got you so bent out of shape. Maybe try looking at things with a different perspective 🤷♂️ have a great day
I'm not bent out of shape at all and I understand passion that drives people. I was merely making a statement as to what it reminded me of. Especially having grown up in the 80s and hearing the valley girls esque lingo. It just reminded me of that.
With 2 fat bikes on that beautiful rack and 2 people plus gear not to mention the add on offroad equipment you pretty well maxed out the payload of the Tacoma. The Tundra is a better option I’d guess
@@marcpikas2859 That’s my rig in the video. I’m definitely not pining for a Tundra 😎
crazy being homeless is cool haha
What’s your thoughts about hard side walls when summer camping?
It’s amazing with the fan. I live in Arizona
Take a shot every time someone says "super" lol. RIP.
