    Wish the interviewers did a bit more interviewing though. Skipping all info on pricing and release for the superior and outroad. Being a bit more prepared as an interviewer would be great for the shoe company interviewed and viewers.

    Thanks for the preview of the 2023 updated trail models! My favorite is the Superior 5 for its lightweight & nice ground feel, so I'm glad the stack height will not change from 21mm. My only complaint with that model is the toe box is a bit shallow in height compared to the Lone Peak.

    I think altras are amazing shoes. However, they need to be cautious about ever slimming them down to be like Nikes or those other brands! One of the most successful altra models is the lone peak which is their widest fit. I think that says something!!!
    They shouldn’t listen to “people” who say they have an odd or “weird” shape! There’s a lot of idiots and “rats” out there who just follow the crowds!! Don’t listen to them!! I personally love the footshape! I thinks it’s absolutely awesome!! I happily wear it in any type of shoe!! I think the pointed shapes of “regular” shoes are the weird ones!! You see people with squished toes all over the place and you can see the strain and stress in their eyes after a long day. I don’t know who told people and shoe makers that shoes have to be that way! I think it’s just astonishing!! My advice to altra is be a leader!! Don’t follow!! For me it was a life changing experience when I first found the altra timp!! I’d been running in cascadias for my trail runs and after runs my feet were literally numb! I felt so relieved after my runs! Then I found the timp!! I couldn’t believe it!!! Somebody out there had been a LEADER!!! Somebody had done what needed to be done!! I put on that first timp and ran and I was so happy! I felt I could run like double the distance! And I didn’t feel like taking off my shoes after the runs!! I was more comfortable in my running shoes that even my regular shoes!! My advice and suggestion to altra is keep making foot shaped shoes. Don’t start pointing your shoes and “sliming” them down too much! If you do you’ll lose your customers and there will be no reason for your existence! It will be then end of your brand!!! Don’t let the financiers and marketers who want a quick buck totaly destroy rhese shoes! There’s a market for shoes that fit feet well while providing the protection of sneakers!!! To this end, my suggestion to altra is to make a “lone peak” with the sole of a torin!!!!! Make a lone peak for the road and street! I see a lot of people wearing lone peaks in offices, on the street etc!! I think it suggests they want the lone peak but with the street soles!!! I’ve personally thought about taking my lone peaks to the cobbler to have them soles with street or road soles. That’s how good I think they’re!

      @steve9377 Рік тому

      @@jelam262 most people heel strike, whether it be running or walking. Most people also stand with the majority of their weight on their heels. Most companies, one for example being Hoka, account for this and also the breakdown of the cushion over time by adding a small drop to their shoes.

    • @jelam262
      @jelam262 Рік тому +1

      @@steve9377 I definitely agree with that. While every time you run/hike uphill you'll have a loaded neg heel drop. It's not necessarily a bad thing. Not sure how I would have finished 10,000m of uphill at UTMB if so...Also if you have less drop while running, you'll naturally land more under your center of gravity during your gait cycle, with less heel strike than you would otherwise.

    • @ckokomo808
      @ckokomo808 Рік тому +2

      @@steve9377 Most people shouldn’t be running on their heels. That’s why Altra doesn’t have a heel to toe drop. The idea is to land mid foot which is how humans naturally run until they wear shoes with a heel-to-toe drip and smash toes together.

    • @steve9377
      @steve9377 Рік тому

      @@ckokomo808 maybe they shouldn’t be heel striking but they do. That’s also assuming that most people are running in the shoes. I’m sure there are people out there that don’t even run in Altras and just wear them as an everyday shoe.
